Also, the lack of development has been disturbing.
Crowton was replaced to help with this. We had to continue with his trainees through last year. This year, we bring in Mett and the offensive line fell absolutely to shambles through a bizarre departure and multiple injuries. We could not call creative route patterns because Mett hardly had time to throw a short post. At the end of the game, you get three "unpredictable" play calls that resulted in a 3 and out due to failed execution.

I know the counterargument is, "well when you don't have a QB who can execute the easy stuff, you can't use the more sophisticated stuff". That's flawed because by being so simple and predictable it makes it very easy for a defense to key in on and very hard for a QB to execute and get a rhythm going.
Yeah, they are full of shite. Most of the football world is aware of the problem. A few blind fans aren't going to bother me.

LSU is easily one of the most talented teams in the country. Talent alone will give them 8 or more wins a year.

Don't any of you dumbasses see what is really going on. Yes ,we have talent, but we have to take advantage of it now. It doesn't stay this way forever. Florida St. Was in the top 5 for 15 years in a row. They won 1 MNC. If that is all we want then great. But we are pissing away chances right now. I like Miles, but this is bullshite. We are not giving our outstanding athletes a chance to be outstanding.

I threw a couple of oranges into the fog when Risher threw that long pass to Eric Martin!

Except I am not a Miles hater. I am a Miles supporter. For this reason I know without a doubt he has to make some changes.
I am just not a head coach worshiper like you, who would put that worship at the expense of the team.

I have heard Risher say that this year, but man when I watch the film...it sure looks like they are doing just that. I see the same route trees that everyone else runs and I mean come on...Krags knows how to run a passing game right? It's not like he's right out of HS.
Can't say I disagree with this one considering I haven't watched extensive film or anything. fwiw, I don't think we're as simple as a hs offense.

do agree with your point of the staff missing on the QB evals...but like I said before...its the hardest position to evaluate...and not just for CFB. Jamarcus Russel was picked number 1...and EVERYONE who didn't draft him wanted to
That's true, but thats the nature of the beast. We are on the side of "missed a lot".

I like how people keep putting Clemson's 99 plays solely on mediocre offense. Clemson sustained drives to earn more plays. That part of the equation falls on the defense.
Did the offense allow Clemson AND Alabama to drive down the field on game-winning drives? Was Mett playing safety? DAMN IT! MILES IS RUNNING THE DEFENSE!
Or the LSU offense couldn't sustain any drives? You're really going to place the blame on our top 10 defense? Our defense has produced some of the best defenses in the country year in and year out for the last 8 years, but THEY ARE THE CULPRIT for the Clemson loss?
Potentially 3 first round draft picks and that unit is the one you're blaming? Wow, just stop now.

Well, were we not ahead with 2 minutes to play and "our top 10 defense" on the field against both teams? Derp is derp. And the derpa derp. Derpity derp derp.

Roger, it always cracks me up how some of the people we went to school with get offended by some of the chants and stuff by the student section. The student section today is so much better behaved than what we were. Oh, and the ones that are offended today were some of the drunkest and most vulgar people back then.

Kind of weird, the LSU offense averaged more yards per play than Clemson. Strange, huh? Clemson didn't run all over the defense, they took better advantage of opportunities and played a smarter game.
Clemson wasn't even going to win though, except LSU's offense failed to show up in the 4th and Clemson scored the final 12 points..

I don't "worship" the guy, even though maybe I come off that way sometimes when arguing with the mouth breathers amoung us. I do think I can fairly appraise coaching talent...and all that entails.
You are a reasonable enough guy to realize that when evaluating a CFB HC...you have to take the WHOLE package into consideration. Do I think CLM is an offensive genius? Hell no? But if you ask me if I think he is a genius HC...Hell YES!
Even if I didn't know anything about coaching or football I would know he is a great coach. Know why? Because he has a GREAT RECORD! That is all that matters because WINNING GAMES is hard to do. If you are good at winning, if you win at a HIGH level, then you are a HIGH LEVEL coach!
Yes there are many ways to be a winning football coach and many styles and strategies. At the end of the day however, it doesn't matter how you do it.
As Al Davis used to say..."just win baby"...and whatever your criticism of CLM may be...arguing about his results is pointless. The man has won at record levels for LSU, for the SEC and for the Nation....and that is what he gets paid to do!

Well, it's a different world today. The administration doesn't put up with much anymore.
I just wish the current students had a little more imagination with their vulgarities.

The Alabama game is definitely on the defense but by the START of the 4th quarter the LSU defense had played 77 snaps. That's more than most teams play in a whole game. Mingo was out with cramps, Montgomery was out, defenders were going down every play with cramps. They were done. The offense needed to buy them some time and it failed over and over and over.
