Do we really want players from ND?

Coach Kelly doesn't recruit well. That's a fact. He wants to be CEO and let everyone else work for him. It's the same reason none of the coaches moved over...Brian Polian doesn't count, he's an admin not a real coach...he basically does the organization for recruiting for Kelly.

To the poster asking about if you want guys from nd ...yes you do. Kelly is actively recruiting 3 players and so far none are leaving. He was recruiting 5 but was told no flat out by two. There is only 1 that is still in play to be honest.

The fact is Kelly is burned out and wants to do as little as possible. You guys will find out. When he came to ND he called plays, ran recruiting, made all offensive schemes etc... By the end there were players saying they wouldn't talk to him for two weeks at a time.

Good luck with the old boy network.

Denbock was at ND and Kelly was forced to fire him because he couldn't score against good teams... See Cincinnati vs Alabama this year.

Polian was at ND and is essentially a personal assistant. He is a horrible special teams coach. Look at nds special teams lately. It's fair catch university

Cooks... The only reason that ND can't compete nationally is secondary and secondary depth. That was cooks.

Literally you are taking the retread Kelly guys that failed at ND.

The quicker you get rid of them the better.

Polian, Quinn, Alexander all were going to be fired. Err not retained.

Elston and Taylor were hopeful to stay but both go major promotions to coordinator so can't fault them.

They didn't lose anyone of substance to LSU. That tells you all you need to know about Kelly

in your opinion. the statement was made that no one came with him from ND and that is false.

what we know about kelly is that he's won everywhere that he's been.

Elston's move was a lateral one--he is not Michigan's DC but is instead only their DL coach. I have read that Elston wanted to come to LSU with Kelly, but that his wife did not want to move to Baton Rouge.

His daughter is in school at Notre Dame. He was never going anywhere. Ann arbor is 2 hours away and is his alma mater. It is the only place he would have gone.

It's not opinion. Brian Polian is his admin. He was the least liked coach on the staff. He's from new york and has a major new York personality, that runs lots of people the wrong way. He has been at Notre Dame twice and both times as special teams coach. His ONLY claim to Fame was recruiting Hawaii and no offense but I don't see him pulling players to lsu from Hawaii.

It is absolutely true he wins where he goes. He is organized and when motivated is very good. I'm actually a kelly supporter. Maybe you get the good version. Back in the day he was innovative on offense...he stopped that 5 years ago. His offenses as cmu and cinci where amazing. He never ran the hurry up at Notre Dame. He also has a well earned reputation for qb regression in year three under Kelly and no qb has made it in the NFL which became a recruiting albatross. His offense the last 5 years is runs up the middle and passes to outside...he rarely calls plays over the middle and his qbs are scared away from contested throws because Kelly HATES turnovers. He'd rather play so so and have no turnovers than be dynamic and have a int.

I hope it works out for you guys but know what your getting into. It's him getting his boys raises while he does less and less.
