ALL THE GOOD AT LSU NOW, was because of the actions of BOB BROADHEAD

Correct me if I'm wrong, but due to key injuries of two-sport athletes Henry did not want track athletes playing football, too, no?

How might that have affected players like Holiday and Carter's contributions to LSU football?

Hey, I like Bob as much as anybody, but he has not been AD in over 20 years.

Skip is the best thing to happen to LSU athletics in the modern era. Those who can't see that are blind. LSU fans can never repay Bertman for what he has done for our athletic department.

BROADHEAD set up the plans for the stadium expansion, hired Skip, hired a great football coach Bill Arnsparger, , who went to fla as AD and he hired the ole ball coach, also PAT HENRY

Negative!

Eddie Kennison and Chris Carter he went to bat for when DiNardo tried to keep them from running track. Both players ignored DiNardo and that is a major reason Kennison didn't start his Junior year.

Henry LOVED two-sport athletes!

He wanted more football to come out for track in the mid-90's.

There is direct correlation to DiNardo and the performance of men's track. DiNardo hated two-sport athletes and discouraged it!

I know that. I was actually alive when it happened. I liked Bob very much, but his term was short and the NCAA lived in BR during his tenure. Bob was the greatest innovator in LSU athletic history. Tigervision was 20 years ahead of its time. LSU board screwed him up and over. Bob has nothing to do with the facility upgrades of today. Fundraising and TAF do the lifting. Bob could have been great...or could have given us the probation of a lifetime.

Sorry for the formatting, but in 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008 Dennis Shaver's men's and Women'sIndoor and Outdooe teams have finished better than Pat Henry's teams every time including 6 2nd place and 1 1st place.

I'd takle that over the double #1s this year

What am I thinking about then? I seem to recall a two-sport player getting hurt and one of the coaches getting pissed.

Oh hell no, double titles, ala the sweep in same year is a big national headliner. Something Henry did at LSU a few times. Plus, those six 2nd place finishes were by a monster program sliding from their former dominance to those finishes, and nobody remembers second place years later.

ATM took a few years to get where they are, and they aren't going away anytime soon..more of the same on the way by Henry and ATM..major hardware hauls!

Wake up!

Maybe if some wealthy LSU fans or a major corporation or two donated the cash for new track facilities Henry might have stayed.
