Sounded pretty good at the game, especially the second half. I think this was the most consistent noise we’ve had all season long today
Just like in football, I've been to more basketball games historically, than 99% of the Rant. That was a "Pretty Good" representative crowd, but not in the 80/81 range.
Speaking of, got to talk briefly with Rudy Macklin before the game. He was just standing there alone in the PMAC outer concourse and I told him I was a basketball band drummer in 80 and 81. A big smile came over his face. "Oh man, those were the days, huh. We were lucky. It's not like that anymore" he said.
We (BB Band) used to play pick up games before and after the actual game down in the AC (Wasn't the PMAC back then) practice gym. Rudy used to pop in every now and then early and fool around with us playing. I reminded him of that and he actually remembered. Pretty cool memory. I didn't have my pocket digital with me or I would've taken a pic for the Rant...…..

The place was mostly full for a very entertaining game. You would have thought they were watching golf. Shame on the students for not leading the way. This team is 19-4, 9-1 in conference, it should be a nightmare for opposing teams to come her
Dude didn’t even watch the game but wants to come and lecture people here

clearly nobody agrees with the OP. But this is really unfair. The students are always the only ones that are most hyped in the stadium and always lead the way with the noise.
If anybody is sitting on their hands, it is everybody else. A big problem is the movement of the student section to behind the goal. It minimizes the student's impact and lowers the energy of the whole stadium. They made this move just to grab a few more dollars selling the mid-court seats, sacrificing atmosphere. A short sighted move imo.

The crowd was good in spurts.
Here’s my take.
The DJ is terrible. Play music that gets the crowd going. Play right now by Van Halen before tip off. It’s the same old shite. Come out of a hot time out and it’s the kissing cam or the small fry bull shite.
The band is there for a reason. Have them lead the chants.

I was sitting in the front of the student section, and I'm not sure what more we could've done to please you
