ESPN just reported that he has been updated from serious to stable condition and "is talking" to family. Great news for Byrdman.

I got a message from Coach Macarthy today that said Bryd was able to talked to him on the phone and say Hello, and he has movement in all of his limbs. Obviously from those statements it's clear that the injuries were initially more extreme than a "shoulder injury and ear lobe" injury.
They are still expecting a full recovery, but have not given a timetable for release.

I watched Heart of Geauxld this week and I had no idea how clutch D Byrd was in 07'.. not just the auburn game.. SEVERAL games he had clutch catches.. including the games we lost like Kentucky. dude was money.

Specs, I know you care. The rant pales in comparison to what this family is going through.

We all hope and pray that D. Byrd makes a full recovery and from what is being reported there seems to be a high probability of a full recovery.
But I don't understand the covert nature of the info, need to know basis and that sort of stuff.
Whatever happened and whatever injuries he sustained will come out eventually. I just find it hard to understand the secrecy angle. That just leads to speculation. It is what it is. But I think we'd all like to know, because we are concerned.
