From the family? I think because they want to prevent the news being made even worse than it is, which usually happens.
ON here? Because some people feel important to be able to say "I know but I can't tell you right now".

Well, that too...
Whatever the case may be - I hope he makes a full recovery. If he is able to resume his playing career, I'm sure he will have a great appreciation for the opportunity he is given and what it means to be a member of a football team.

Last i heard on SC (yesterday) he had been upgraded and was talking and fully coherent.
