This is the long and short of it. He’s great at moving the ball between the 20’s. He’s absolute hell with his legs in the open field. Once the field compresses his speed counts for less and he isn’t a good enough passer to overcome it.

Let’s be honest, there have been a multitude of posts since last night that have made the exact claim of it all being Jayden’s fault.

Then find them and bump them. I will agree.

Actually, it’s the Center, but carry on.

The center doesn’t snap for punts and usually field goals.

You know CBK was critical of JD's play last night too...

Well, I think they were pretty easy calls, fourth and goal from the one. That was a pretty easy one. We’re trying to run the ball with an option for Jayden to pull it. We’ll just have to go back and look at the film and see what the looks are for him and do a better job of addressing that in practice and giving him those kinds of pressure looks that force you to make those quick decisions. But, no, those are pretty standard fourth down calls and decisions. I think both of those were read option kind of decisions that Jayden was confronted with.

At halftime CBK even mentioned to Holly that we need to make the right reads.

Daniels may not be the reason we lost, but he's definitely the reason we didn't win.

Then he’s not on the field, is he?

He’s not to blame. But didn’t help much

Everything for me starts with Kelly and the staff.
Daniels played OK but he missed some plays, WR dropped a few and the OL was meh.

Per might as been home with me on the couch. Was shocked with that.

The JD/Nuss decision is on Kelly/Denbrock. So it starts there

It's not binary

I can think Daniels is great kid and I can think he has limitations

They aren’t hating. They are stating the obvious. For a senior he missed reads and has trouble identifying what a defense is doing to counter

Guys, it’s not JD’s fault solely but sometimes you just need a change. Maybe we are not even in the game past the first half if Nuss was in but maybe he hits some of the open receivers down field or reads a seam route and connects. Then that opens the running game some. Even spreading the defense out is not really spreading them out because it is all within 10 yards down the field.

As QB1, you have higher expectations. He did not improve one bit over the offseason other than that brand new gold chain he wore during the game. Same guy as last year. You could see the frustration on the receivers' faces.

No one thinks he is the "sole" reason for us losing. This is a team sport, a lot of dudes play and affect the game That doesn't change the point. The offense looked lost with Jaden at QB. We knew the D was gonna struggle with weak DB play, and we expected JD to make a leap to help compensate. He did not.

This explains the frustration in a nutshell. CBK sold us on the new and improved Jayden Daniels who never appeared.
