LSU doesn't have the talent level we had in the late 90's and in to the early 00's, especially defensively. (and I really doubt you'll get that level of D talent for Chavis to work with during his time at LSU)
There is a reason it was looked at as an absolute embarrassment that Chavis and the old staff blew that 01 SECCG. That team had 10 players that were picked that year in the draft.
I'm going to have to be from Missouri on this one. Chavis has been a DC for fourteen years.That means he started in 1995, right?
If you're trying to tell me that if you look up both the recruiting rankings and the number of defensive players drafted during that time, UT would have the edge on LSU.
I'd have to see a link on that, sorry.
Remember, I said top 5 recruiting classes over a five year period.
