Devin White isn't a top 3 overall prospect.
Sounds to me like you're the one who doesn't know jack shite.
If a team has a need, Hes good enough to warrant that. Hes been mocked to go right around the 8 spot but who knows how things will go. I just think by the time hes through the combine and interviews, a bunch of NFL teams will fall in love with him. He is the whole package. Total physical freak and they dont make better people. None of this matters because he's coming back:)

I for one would advise Devin to leave... you just won the Butkus...nothing more to prove in college...
As for draft position... he’ll fall to late teens, upper 20’s ... love Devin but he’s not as instinctive of a LB as Smith...

If we are talking Instincts, do you believe this is something where another year of playing in the SEC could help him improve his instincts? Or do you think its something a LB either has or doesnt have?
Having only played the position for 3 seasons, would that 4th season build up his instincts to the point of projecting him into the top 10? Would it then be worth him staying..?

I would not ordinarily point out such errors, but it was made in a post where you were explaining how intelligent you are....
Carry on, young man.

Instincts probably could be developed better in a NFL setting... you don’t think so???
I see your point though... but how many ILB’s have went top 10 in the last five years???... I don’t think anybody looking at it rationally could honestly think another year of playing MLB in college is beneficial at all... not counting injury risk

Its hard to argue with a decision to go to the draft now, particularly after an AA season and Butkis Award . He has to decide for himself, but that's what I would advise him to do. Selfishly, as an LSU fan, it would be nice to have him back, but as a fan I do not have the injury risks he does.

I initially did it on purpose, but it’s hard to understand sarcasm over a phone screen I will say.

Did he win a championship? Did he beat Alabama?
Is football still a team sport?
Staying isn't crazy. Bama and Clemson, two programs that are currently better than ours, manage to get projected 1st round draft picks to stay their senior year. LSU should be able to do this, too...should.

Did you read either of the fricking articles you posted? They both say the insurance policies are BS.

How is this his fault or his problem ... he gave his all when he was in there... that’s all he could do...
We lost 31-0 ... Devin didn’t take any offensive snaps...
The draft is an individual accomplishment...team has nothing to do with... Clemson and Bama players staying for their senior on account of not doing enoug the first 3 years(as individuals) to merit a high draft pick

I didn't blame him personally or mention anything about problems. You said there was nothing left for him to do in college, and I pointed out that it's simply false.
We lost 29-0 to Alabama, yes...like I said, beating Alabama is still something left for Devin to accomplish in college. Same with winning a national championship. I'm not alone in thinking this...Devin has said this himself in the last week.
Yeah, the few Bama and Clemson players that have stayed in the last couple of years were already project 1-2 round picks prior to deciding to stay at Bama and Clemson.
There's really nothing to argue here. Devin can choose to leave, and that's a great choice. Or he could choice to stay, that's also a great choice.

Who are you to decide what is best for him?
A 53 old graduate of LSU who has some common sense. Besides the love of LSU and Louisiana, what does Devin gain by returning? This is a no brainer.
