Take some heart meds and watch the damn game. Be a man or a woman, if that's the case. Otherwise, you are a liquidy(sic) wimp.

You were "excited" for 1990--1994, 21 wins and no NR teams,

This has to be THE MOST utterly ridiculous statement I've read in a very long time.
quote:rah rah rah, sis boom bah, rah rah ras, kick 'em in the arse!
I suppose you were more excited in '90 and '91 when we went 6-5. OR, maybe it was in '92, when we went 2-9 OR in '93 when we went 5-6 OR in '94 when we went 4-7 OR in '98, when we went 4-7 OR in '99 when we went 3-8. Yep, those were exciting years, much more exciting than this year, when we have a fine and highly ranked defense and special teams answering the bell. Oh, and we've won 5 games, already. Messy? Yes. Frustrating as hell? Yes. We still have the Ws and we still have a chance at a better season than those years in spite of all the shenanigans. We also have a team of kids, many of whom who are playing their hearts out and doing a fine job. Those kids DESERVE the fans' support in spite of the other issues. The defense, for example, deserves to hear the fans cheer for them when they play and when the team wins. They're doing their part. Discouraging them, booing the team, the coaches and all the other crap is unfair to those kids. They are doing their jobs and they are doing it well.
I'm not jumping up and down with excitement over what's going on, but I'm excited about the players who are giving it their all and saving our asses from worse things. I stand in support of them and I will not do anything to discourage them or insult them or put a damper on THEIR excitement.

Now, that's a very intelligently thought out response, with great points. I know you dug down deep to come up with that one.

Feel free. Nobody will jail you, either way. Hell- you can even just watch the commercials while you poke your Les Mile voodoo doll, if you want....
Me? Just as is the case with every other game, if I'm not watching, it's because I'm dead.

Oh- and Happy Birthday in advance!

I will be at the SLU Texas St game for 2, but I should be home before 6:30 to see the game. I will be watching. The last two times we played night games at the swamp on ESPN we won. Saban in 2002 and in 2004.

Miss a game on purpose? You've got to be kidding me.
Posted on 10/8/10 at 12:46 pm to GRTiger
I'm sure I will, and it will be like just about every game the last 2 years, watch scream in frustration at Miles/Crowton, turn the channel when it gets to bad. Drink heavily and then turn it back on only to repeat over and over until the game is over. I don't see how with everyhting that has happened we can beat Florida or any team that matches us in talent. Our offensive players have more than likely lost all confidence in their coaches and it won't take long to trickle down to the defense. I have become what I hate a negatiger.

how many of you miserable people that complain constantly about play calling, coaching, players, the band, the students, the piped in music, the trash, the frats, and everything else are still planning to watch the game Saturday? You already know whats going to happen, that JJ will start, Lee will get some time, Shep won't throw the ball or run the wildcat, we will have a clock management issue, and so on.
Why subject yourself to these horrors?
same reason why horror movies have been around since the early days of cinema.
What kind of question is this?
