If he read this board last night he would probably question his decision. We would have been able to see all the talent this area has as for as head coaches and thought that if he did leave LSU can just come to the Rant and find a coach who knows soooo much more than he does.

A Texas fan, here, from Austin, reading these posts. I think you need to remember college football is a constantly changing thing because you lose players every year to graduation and the NFL. You lost a lot of talent last year and I don't think it is reasonable to expect to plug new players into those positions and still be as good as last year. After VY and his class graduated look what happened to Texas. Just now is the talent and experience beginning to show. I think Texas will still lose 2 games this year but this is a much better team than last year and will be even better next year. LSU will be OK this year and over the next several years. You may not win the SEC or MNC every year but you will probably be top 10 every year. Just my thoughts

We get beat and everyone wants the coaches head. The expectations at LSU right now are unbelievably high. We have a talented redshirt freshman at quarterback, but it takes a little time. We cannot continue to win 11-12 games every year in the conference we play in. You win some and you loose some. A good team learns from its mistakes, so we will see what kind of team LSU is made of in the upcoming weeks.
