Hey, he helped us win a CWS title, so no matter what he'll always be a favorite in my book. That said, I'm with you ... on the football field, he's certainly been a bit of a disappointment. I think we built him up to much from the beginning and set ourselves up to be let down.

I hate to say it but overrated. I hope I'm wrong and he plays better later in the season, but it just seems like with CJ everyone keeps saying wait until...

Man. I hope you're wrong too. It just baffle me because has all the physical tools to dominate. He needs to spend a weekend with LL and develop that "take no prisoners" attitude that free safeties need.

Let's give Chad a chance to get used to Chavis' system and being full-time FS before we call him a disappointment.

People really seem to forget last year and the QB debacle that occurred most of the season. How many people got mad at Crowton for leaving Lee out to dry with his playcalling.

It was obvious towards the end of the season that Les pulled in Crowton's reigns out of fear of putting too much on JJ and potentially scarring him like Lee.

They weren't going to put JJ in that position this game, and Miles was pretty sure about that. I really think that is why they called it so conservative in the second half of Arky and the bowl game for the most part. To avoid fracturing JJ's psyche.

In this game, in a hostile environment on the road, the last thing they are going to do is leave JJ in a tough position to start the season. They wanted to build his confidence slowly, and so tried to just run over UW, and it didn't work. They changed a bit in the second half, and opened it up a little. It will improve next game with it being at home and the team having a game under their belts.

I am probably overstating that just a tad, but if you haven't watched the game again, please do so. We were in control the entire second half. There was never a moment in which the game felt to be getting away from us ... that's the goal in every game: Get the lead, keep the lead, get out of town.

Much better defensive play in the second half, made some adjustments. The push of the D line on pass plays is a concern. Might need to see more Josh Downs.

Tebow, sneed, and possily mcelroy are better than locker

I think Locker had a better opening game than Snead. If you can get him out of the pocket he doesn't present nearly the threat that Locker does. I think Snead will get better as the season goes, like he did last year, but based on the Memphis game, Locker may well be better than Snead.

Not only at QB, but I think Washington has a better offense than Ole Miss right now IMO. That's based on only one game by both teams, though, so we will see ...

Yeah, we definitely need to get more pressure on the QB, but I think that's comin in time hopefully.

13. We won the turnover battle!!! This and this alone is a Huuuuuuge improvement from last season.

This alone is reason to be happy about the result. We are so much better than last year for this single reason.

I'm with ya. That - along with Tolliver's emergence and the disciplined play (few penalties) - are the three things I'm most excited about.

WE WON THE PUNTING BATTLE, yes we punted more times than they did, why, their defence stopped us, they had more plays on offence, why, our defence sucked, what was their average on third down, 12 yards and that includes 3 stops by us, are they that good or we that bad ...this was a case of THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Whoever said that Alabama's backup quarterback last year is better than Locker just doesn't know football. Locker will be drafted in the NFL. McElroy could not beat out a dude last year that will never play in the NFL.
