the kid is treated like a second rate player after busting his arse for three months and building friendships w/ teammates, now he's asked to unpack his dorm and go home. You cannnot defend the poor timing and handling of this w/ the lack of communication. the kid says he was completely caught off guard. Instead of enjoying the scholarship spot he was promised and the experience of his first college semester and season, he's supposed to sit at home while the rest of his teammates move on. To suddenly spring something like that on him is just a shitty way to treat kids
Agreed... No matter who the player was.. its messed up... For Christ sake he was in the dorms already.. I understand he still has a scholly.. But this is a kid who could have been in school at another major program without the BS..
I am sure AU wont use this as they try to lock down Robinson

what is one thing the man has done right? can you find it in yourself to say one thing he has done well?
he and his agent tricked LSU into thinking Michigan might actually want to hire a retard as their coach and they parlayed that into a big contract extension with a huge buyout. That was very well played.
I thought he parlayed a National Championship into more money because that is what his existing contract stated. Something like being the third highest paid coach. Could be wrong but probably not.

the current problem with this is that 2 ol were given greyshirt since according to some they would redshirt anyway. the current year ol recruits must look at this and say can i believe any of the talk about early playing time. NO. collins is an elite player and this is irrelevant to him. white and turner must have plenty of questions about this. I think this is a negative for lsu in recruiting robinson.
the aubies will attempt to get him to believe he will not have an honest shop at playing as a freshman.

he should be grateful now..classic
frick yeah he should be grateful. he either wanted to go to LSU or he did not, he obviously did as he committed to us. he just has to wait 5 months to take classes or pay out of his own pocket/scholarship money.
everyone knew that if the entire class qualified grey shirts would be needed. yes, this means the players had access to the same knowledge we did. the moment everyone was cleared.. we needed a few greyshirts.
the situation sucks. it really does. but quit acting like LSU is screwing him out of his scholarship when they are clearly not. someone had to greyshirt and they probably started with a guy who was unlikely to make an impact within the first two years.
if he wants to go to tenn best of luck to him. hope he enjoys his time there and never regrets not waiting one semester to enroll.

books, i'm not going to be able to convince you. i can tell you this, what is reported isn't always the accurate story.
the kid is upset right now. you are hearing one side of the story and making up your mind.
i can't tell you a right and wrong in this situation. it's a "grey" area. you make the best, not necessarily right or wrong, decisions you can make.
i can tell you lsu wants the kid. they really do. unfortunately, they can not make everyone happy.
People want miles to run a clean program, get rid of the bad apples, troy g., z thomas, r.p. just to name a few. however, when he doesn't win at the rate those same people want him to, then they bash him and say it's his job to win games, his @$$ is on the hot seat. when he makes decisions based on the good of the program and to win the games the fans are demanding him to win, then it's he is screwing over the kids just to win games.
he can't make everyone happy.

how many of these "Les is perfect" rantards you think pitched a fit when Saban was cutting scrubs off the Bama squad 2 years ago? I'll guess every single one of them.

pure genius. so it's the amount of money you make that determines how you should affect/treat people.
so, 20k a year, you can piss on people all day long. however, if you make 3 mil, you have to be devine.

Realize this: The new SEC rule went into effect in May.. long after NSD. We were basically at the mercy of the clearing house.
We're at 82 scholarship players.. under the 85 limit. This has very little to do with 'oversigning'
