You were insinuating people were hating him for unfair reasons based on the article
quote:Not sure how that's relevant to you saying no one hates him?
Maybe he has a good reason to not be liked by northend?

I don't know what happened. One thing that hasn't been brought up that is common in these situations is that some kids (and especially parents) do not like when "recruited" kids come in and take the position that they thought little Johnny had. That leads to some of the off handed comments that are said. I have often heard that talked about in these situations where kids are recruited to the school. Kind of a catch 22 because a lot of people like the team getting better but not at the expense of little Johnny.

Based on the article, no one should be hating on him.

I don't hate the guy at all. I hate that he took a cheap shot at a community that lifted him up. It wasn't necessary.

All they did was hate on me since day one that's why me and my "black" friends either went to a different school or distanced ourself from y'all. And this isn't a shot at no administration, this is for the students that I encountered with 24/7. So just keep in mind if you weren't in my shoes you know nothing.

LSU pride does not matter - if she was fired. Still not legal

I don't know why you are arguing this. Guice def made they point that blacks were treated poorly by the white students. That isn't really up for debate

What's your end game? For nobody to ever disagree with an LSU athlete again? This thread has been civil towards Guice. Some just disagree and are upset with him

I don't think the article insinuated that at all

And Derrius is entitled to his own opinion on his experience at CHS. As stated earlier, his opinion my later change. I think a good example of a positive expression of love and respect for a black classmate by white classmate is the unfortunate death of Kirklin Roberts. Kirklin died of cancer at only 18, but he made a huge impact amongst his classmates and was loved by all, white or black. The funeral was held at what is essentially an all black church. I went to support my sons, as well as to pay my respects. There were many, many white classmates of Kirlin who did the same.
I will say that it was the first time I had ever attended an all black service. I felt a little different and out of place, even though I was made to feel quite welcome. In contrast to the more solemn Catholic funeral, I was much more impressed with the service for Kirklin because it was truly a celebration of his life. RIP Kirklin!!
