Higher costs in general, parking problems and costs, traffic issues, and every game on TV has effected attendance and the enjoyment of the "game atmosphere" as well. It is a problem every where. Only teams that have been down for awhile and now have some hope of major improvement are OK, but if they do get good or fall backyards this will change for them as well in time.

I beg to differ. Tiger fans are not leaving because they are spoiled. They are leaving because they are bored to death. Typically, LSU is winning, but instead of passing and making the game fun for the fans, Miles instead prefers to run up the gut on Sam Houston and ULM. Who in the world wants to see that shite? This has been going on now some 10 years. This has nothing to do with being spoiled. For instance, Auburn and A&M, even when leading by 20-30 points, still line up in the Spread and throw the goddam ball all over the place. People will stay for that. As far as the Miss State game, had Miles made the change at QB earlier, a lot of people would have stayed to see Harris.

Case and point about the ignorance of our fanbase. Although this guy is known for that.

Am I the only one who can't teleport into and out of the stadium at will? Am I the only one who doesn't have the biological homeostatic regulation to maintain a comfortable room temperature in that boiling heat? Am I the only one who has to pay to attend games?

I missed that ability giveaway. Link?

Well, some blame goes to the play on the field.

On the 1st third down of the second half, LSU down 17-10, the stadium was easily the loudest it had been since Bama 2012. The defense proceeded to fold like a paper bag.

The crowd was ready to explode at any moment, but nothing allowed them to.

Yeah because, you know, the coach's job is to make the game fun for all the fans first. Winning should come second. Let's make sure we entertain all the ignorant tards first, then hopefully that will lead us to victory.

That's not even close to what his point was. The point was you can't speak out of both sides of your mouth on this issue. If the style of play is boring, and the team is losing a game, most people aren't going to stick around for that. I would, but most won't. He isn't saying the priority should be an entertaining style of play. He's saying that it contributes to the problem.

I used to feel the same way about LSU fans till i got my season tickets.
Slowly my urge to actually attend a game have been fading.Maybe it's because i'm getting older?
Maybe it's because the excitement and mystery of someone hooking me up with a ticket or actually going out and trying to find one is gone and it's gotten a little monotonous?
Maybe LSU football is boring as shite now?
Maybe i'm frustrated how every year i see Les play seniors over vastly superior talent waiting behind them?

Maybe a little bit of everything.shite IDK.

You people wanted a legit reason from a season ticket holder, well there it is.

You call Saturday night against Miss State winning? Running the ball up the gut in today’s game does work in the SEC. And Saturday proved it ...

Exactly...compound that with the total cost of attending games (time, money, comfort) and fans can become really fickle very quickly.

And that's happening EVERYWHERE. Not just LSU. The difference is LSU has the stated issue above. If the coaches don't effectively care why should we?

I'm not talking out of both sides of my mouth on anything. I've already said once I don't give a shite how people perceive the stadium or how "dead" it is. It isn't dead for a big game. The comment I made was that our fans are ignorant and very spoiled. If you leave a game because we are leaving that probably makes you both ignorant and spoiled. Now a game like the other night? I wouldn't blame people for leaving. I wouldn't do it, but I cant blame others for leaving that. Bama 2012? You're an idiot if you left.

But what he said was exactly his point. He very clearly said we are typically win, but the style of play is boring. If you say the level of competition in non-conference games sucks, so be it. But to say, uhh we win, but it isn't fun enough because we don't "sling the goddamn ball all over the place like A&M" is ignorant. That is exactly what this dude said.

I didn't say one word about Saturday night. Aren't you the one who just said typically we are winning, but the style of play isn't exciting enough?

Frick no, Saturday we got the shite beat out of us. That doesn't change the fact that typically we are winning.

That's how it was for me. Saturday nights in the stadium used to be THE highlight of the year. I used to be upset for DAYS after a loss.

But that's changed. Since 2009, aside from the defensive play and Mett, I think I'd rather watch paint dry.

you want to bring back the crowds in Tiger Stadium?
Only one of two ways.
Saban comes back-never gonna happen
No more season tickets, all general admission tickets- never gonna happen

So where's that leave us?
Tiger stadium will never be like it once was. Never again,i can promise you that.

Miles is really the only coach that i can think of that will not play superior talent.
I'm sick of it.
Saban will play a true freshman over a senior if he's better.
That's what a winning program does. Win at all cost. That's what we pay for isn't it?

Maybe the thousands of fans saw more of the same crap that's been around for the last few years outside of Last years offense.

Too many people stuck in the 70's. People are not going to sit at a boring football game for 4 hours with everything that is available to us nowadays. People who post here who say they never leave early need to realize they are the minority. If you want embarassing, tune in Saturday for the big game against New Mexico St, where LSU will run it behind a pathetic oline 50 times because they know they cant lose.
