It is a very different process and in no way does this analogy work.
There is no computer and polls taken into account for SECCG unless a three way tie happens like it almost did with Arky, Bama, and LSU.
If you win East or West division your in SECCG.
BCS deals with human element of polls, then computer rankings, etc.

And the BCS works as it was designed to work.
In the hypothetical, UF has "been there, done that". remember the mantra of many this weekend- No need to beat the same team twice for a championship.
