I started Day Wishing on this board during the 2007 Football season. Prior to that I have been Day Wishing since I discovered the phenomenon around the turn of the millenium.

I never said to make a selfish Day Wish and I resent the implication. A good Day Wish is something like:
I Day Wish for all of the players to leave the game healthy and happy with their performance.
See? That is selfless. The hope is that one will be rewarded three fold for making a selfless request.
