And you give me a clue. Chardonnaygirl could describe quite a few people I've known in the many years since. Did we have any classes together and did you go there from 7th thru 12th
?

What is your first name, please. Yes, I was at RHS from 7th-12th grade. As a matter of fact, I was at St. Gerards from K-6. And I am probably not one of the girls you may be thinking of. I didn't drink in high school.

Dang ... 12 years in elementary school. Must be a new record! (sorry ... couldn't resist).

Thanks Randy. Nothing but fond memories of Duane. You can't say that about too many folks. I look forward to the updates and visiting him to let him know we all care and wish him a full recovery. Never said I could spell..... Keep the humor in life.

Good luck to him and his family during this trying time. I give chemotherapy and I can tell you, we have definitely come a long way. Stay positive and God bless.

Thanks, Cali Tiger. That does make me feel better.

Thanks to everyone else who has responded. I haven't been able to get in touch with Duane's wife today, but I did leave her a voice mail asking her to please update me on today's events. She has a lot going on right now, so I must be patient.

I am calling it a night and will let everyone know what I can find out about Duane's first day at MD Anderson.

God bless DD and his family tonight.

Here's an update, folks.

I just spoke with Duane's son Blake. Duane is now resting at home and wasn't able to get into MD Anderson yet. The way I understand it, he supposedly is in too good of health.

Maybe someone with more knowledge than me about MD Anderson can explain.

Anyway, I was told that Duane is actually feeling better today, so I have to believe that the prayers are working. I have asked Blake to tell Duane to call me if he feels up to it. Hopefully he will, and then I will have even more updates soon.

Also, he was able to get to a computer and read this entire thread, so PLEASE KEEP THE REPLIES COMING!

Hang in there big D. We're all pulling for you.
