I was at the game. He would have easily run for 40 yards or more. The old JJ would have made that run. This JJ? Nah, I'll just hand the ball to the Defense to seal the game. Not to mention the dozen or so plays where we had wide open WRs down the field where he would look them off then either run or throw it away.
Like I said, nothing made sense that night. I left after that play.

They thought (wrongly) in 2011 that putting Bama in the NCG would get them better ratings. It didn't. However, the mission was accomplished to change the BCS, since a media darling wasn't the beneficiary of the system. Remember, the last big change prior to that was in 2014 after USC didn't benefit.
Now we have the "playoff", which will make it easier for ESPN to get their brand teams in the mix. Now, teams like Bama, Oklahoma, etc, can still lose games every year, but we don't need fiery hoops to jump through trying to cram them in a "final 2" championship format.
The bias will only get worse as time goes on. We already see the double standards with the brand teams. Just wait....
If LSU is able to get even talent wise with Bama, and it appears they will, you can expect LSU having to beat Bama twice in a year to be an annual occurrence.

No, this jackass remembers it quite well, as I was directly associated with the situation.
A couple of reminders for those like you who forget:
1) There was only ONE team that year with one loss: OSU.
2) LSU was the next best two-loss team that could qualify for the game.
In order for LSU to qualify for that game, they had to do several things the 2011 Bama team DIDN'T have to do:
1) Win the SEC West
2) Win the SECCG
3) Beat more than six teams with a winning record during the regular season
4) Beat more than 2 ranked teams all year
Anything else you need a reminder of?
Face it, you don't know your place or the place of the team you root for. LSU will NEVER be on the level of Bama, USC, OSU, ND, etc.
I, personally, don't have a problem with it. I would rather the team I root for actually EARN it's place. Not rely on scheduling, biased officiating, and media white washing our losses to benefit ratings.

I honestly did. I blacked out and passed out on the floor when it was 6-0. Woke up at 4 o clock the next afternoon and had no idea who won or what happened. Had like 50 texts, didn't read them, just pulled up the espn app. Still have never watched any part of the second half
