Your contradictions are so tiring. He doesn't go down easy but yet he DOES get tackled by a hand twice way downfield. And once at the line of scrimmage that you can't seem to see on your Jitterbug. What difference does it make where the tackle is for the sake of an argument on "breaking" tackles. Either he breaks them or his doesn't.

And you won't say who counted to ten. If you see ten BROKEN tackles then you have watched the video three times. Missed tackles was your term. You said ten missed tackles. Again, for the hearing impaired, I am talking broken tackles. Show me broken tackles. You can't.

And your quotes are not stats... those are quotes. You haven't had a single stat except for PT. As for as PT, when LF gets to where he breaks tackles like PT, then he will be the perfect, finished running back you think he is now.

Let me slowly explain one more thing that we have been over and over. I have said a hundred times that he has the tools to a superhuman degree. He is just not a tackle breaker. I believe that will probably come with time. Gosh i hope you understand that fact this time because this is really getting silly. YOU are making the argument that he is the complete back ALREADY... but I ain't.

And what language? I never use foul language and YOU started with the "idiot" word.

It isn't a contradiction at all. Do you honestly think running between the tackles is the same as running through an open field?

So he was tripped up 3x in 27 carries. 2 of them coming on long runs when he was in the middle of making a juke move. Yep,clearly an issue. We'll just have to tell him not to brake those 25 yarders from now

quote:

Show me broken tackles.

You've already seen them, you're just blind apparently. Pretty sure he scored a touchdown on a broken tackle. You know, when he pushed the Gator safety all the way to the endzone.

quote:

PT avoids tackles more than he breaks them. He's one of the best at making people miss with little moves. I've said that several times now. I've also said that is where LF can grow. He needs to understand that he doesn't need to run everyone over.

And PT's stats were for Missed Tackles, which also includes broken tackles. So your expectations about what makes someone hard to bring down where completely out of touch with reality. The first guy brings him down over 80% of the time. That is how football usually works.

He is just not a tackle breaker.

I'm pretty sure I was making the argument that he had a great game vs. Florida. He definitely struggled with getting yards after contact early in the season. He didn't struggle with it at all vs. UF.

Reviewed all 27 runs. He broke 6 tackles plus the guy he drove into the end zone and that's being generous. 23 out of 27 carries he went down to first contact. Again, you'll thank me in a year or two when he breaks 6 tackles on one run pretty regularly and first contact drops to about half.

Wait, you don't consider that a broken tackle?

Also, I said Missed Tackles (even though most consider them the same thing)...He's already clearly shown he can drive a pile and run over people. I would like to see him start avoiding some unnecessary contact and beat people with his speed

Why would I thank you? I fully expect him to improve. Just because he can improve doesn't mean you discount what he accomplishes now

So wait, he broke 7 tackles in 27 runs or on 26% of his runs.

You realize that the best NFL running backs don't go over 20% in a season for Broken Tackles (including juke moves)

You said this earlier:

quote:

PT is a tackle breaking motor scooter because he refuses to go down. The first guy ain't gonna tackle PT.

But his missed tackle %, which includes agility moves, on the ground in his best season was at 13%. That means that it is safe to assume that the 1st guy or the first sideline brought him down on around 87% of his runs.

So by your own statement:

quote:

. As for as PT, when LF gets to where he breaks tackles like PT, then he will be the perfect, finished running back you think he is now.

I guess he's the perfect, finished running back.

That is a little premature don't you think. It was just 1 game. The point is that even the best backs usually get taken down on first contact. The key is to get as much yardage on those plays as possible (like driving a linebacker for 2+ yards after contact).
