well that looks pretty good to me
jj may not make the big play, make he makes less big mistakes.

We should only compare JJ to heisman candidates so we can bash him more!!

We should include sacks in the stats.

I respect that but I just don't see the intangibles in JJ needed to win championships.

I know that JJ make mistakes at time but 16-6 TD;INT ratio is good!! A lot of those QBs who puts up big numbers also lose games in the 4th Quarter. JJ is a winner

Give me any of those qbs over JJ anyday. Anyone who says otherwise is a hack.
LSU might be looking for an offensive coordinator. You should apply for the job.

JJ vs other Soph QBs
Mizzou - Gabbert = 60% comp, 3302 yds, 7.98 ypa, 13.37 ypc, 23TDs, 7 ints, 16 sacks, 142 rating
San Diego - Lindley = 55% comp, 3054 yds, 6.99 ypa, 12.78 ypc, 23TDs, 16 ints, 16 sacks, 123 rating
Boise St - Moore = 65% comp, 3053 yds, 8.43 ypa, 12.99 ypc, 38TDs, 3 ints, 5 sacks, 169 rating
UMiami - Harris = 60% comp, 3164 yds, 8.39 ypa, 14.00 ypc, 23TDs, 17 ints, 30 sacks, 142 rating
NC St - Wilson = 60% comp, 3027 yds, 8.01 ypa, 13.51 ypc, 31TDs, 11 ints, 32 sacks, 148 rating
So. Car - Garcia = 57% comp, 2733 yds, 6.94 ypa, 12.26 ypc, 17TDs, 9 ints, 34 sacks, 125 rating
Arkansas - Mallett, 57% comp, 3422 yds, 9.32 ypa, 16.30 ypc, 29TDs, 7 ints, 24 sacks, 158 rating
Mich St - Cousins = 61% comp, 2460 yds, 8.17 ypa, 13.30 ypc, 18TDs, 7 ints, 13 sacks, 145 rating
LSU - Jefferson = 62% comp, 1964 yds, 7.22 ypa, 11.62 ypc, 16TDs, 6 ints, 35 sacks, 138 rating
The OP obviously has his doubts about JJ or he wouldnt have tried to bolster his stats against a biased control group. Among a group of soph. QBs JJ is last in TDs, 1st in sacks, last in total yds (not even in the ball park with the rest), last in yards per catch, 2nd to last in yards per att. and near the bottom in pass efficiency. You decide.

Great Post to the poster right above me....
JJ is a talent no doubt but he just isn't coming around as a championship caliber QB in a league that competes for a MNC ever year.

+1 but people will defend him blindly. Probably the same people satisfied winning 8 or 9 games a year and besides UF and Bama our schedule wasn't really that great.

You do know what an offensive line is don't you?
That might be a better comparison. But that would require football knowlege wouldn't it?

And I would bet every other QB listed in this thread would like to have Dickson, LaFell, Randle and Tolliver to throw to, don't you think?
Posted on 11/29/09 at 3:41 pm to RobbBobb
And I would take 2 of those qbs ahead of Jefferson (Mallet and due from Boise St.)
