I met a kid on this site looking for LSU-UGA tickets last year who is from Virgina. I was able to hook him up with tickets for the UGA game last year. He has never actually been to Louisiana or Baton Rouge for that matter. He first got to see LSU play when he went with his sister(who went to Virgina tech at the time) playing LSU in 2002 and it was LSU love at first site for him.
Since 2002, he has traveled to a multitude of LSU away games, many times sleeping in his car or finding people he knows to crash on their floor. He is a poor college student like many of us on here, but somehow he finds tickets and ways to get in to games that he must drive at least a couple hundred miles, and sometimes farther than that to go to EVERY game he watches.
When I first met him, he was decked out in head to tow with LSU gear. He knew every single player on the starting 22, he knew all about the coaches and the situations coming into that UGA weekend. If you didn't know any better, you would have assumed he was the son of a guy from Baton Rouge who had been going to Death Valley since he was 4 year old like some of you have been bragging about on here.
When I was reading post on this board, this is the best example I could think about what it means to be a true LSU fan. It's not necessarily if you went to LSU or how many times you've been to tiger stadium. The love for LSU runs through our veins and our hearts.
I am trying to get this guy down here for a his first game in tiger stadium, if he can come up with the money for travel from Virgina, hopefully this will be the year.I can't imagine the feeling of walking into Tiger Stadium for the first time after seeing them on the road after all these years, it's gonna be a truly phenomenal experience for him.

I graduated undergrad at McNeese and law school at LSU. Can I be an LSU fan?
