Even our co-DCs can do a Google search on that one.
I'm honestly not sure if they know how to work the internet.

Which is what we will preach to the kids for the next 4 weeks. The option is not that hard to defend if the players know their roles.
Have the DC's shown even a hint of the ability to teach our players anything? Even something as a simple as tackling seems to be beyond their communicative abilities.

Not in the 1-2 weeks we usually have but this is 4 friggin weeks.
The option is not hard to defend. And we have athletic DEs that should be perfect for the task.

This is true. This is the poorest tackling LSU team I have seen in a decade.

They had an entire fricking offseason and season to teach them to tackle. Yet they still don't.

DE play has been weak as frick aside from Rahim Alem, who is primarily a pass rusher. LB play has been an abortion. All of the overpursuit and poor tackling this year does not bode well against a triple option offense.

I'm convinced they spent the offseason watching the DVD of the BCS championship game like I did. I mean for heaven's sake, these are D-1 athletes at a top 5 program playing defense. One would think they would understand the simple concept of hit, wrap up.

Then what did they do for the entire season? Watch House reruns?
I honestly think a pair of shaved gorillas could have coached our D better this year.

Maybe with the layoff GA Tech will forget how to do that.

You just offended Coach O and now he's going to Tennessee

Well damn. I'm sure I can make it up to him with a bag of cracklin and a copy of hooked on phonics.

Here's a thought: What if Chavis/whoever shows up before the bowl game and teaches tackling AND defending the option in time for the bowl game? Sounds like a stretch, I know, but if Miles can work a deal with him before the SECCG, then there's enough time for the Chief to mold his soldiers.

My wife is from Bayou Lafourche--you better think about the whole damn pig to make amends.

And there you have it. Know your responsibility and assignment on the field and you shut down the option all day long. Problem is, our players have either not known their assignments all season, have been given the wrong assignment, or a combination of both. I vote option C.

North Carolina, Virginia and Va Tech just called and said you're a pussy.
Georgia Tech is no juggernaught. They just didn't throw Georgia 2 pick sixes.

That's what I'm saying. The triple option isn't hard to stop if you're disciplined and don't miss many tackles. But we're not disciplined and we miss a lot of tackles.

Tackling isn't hard. This game is ALL on the players. If LSU loses, the coaches won't be to blame.
