FWIW, yesterday I bought helmet # 70 (Ciron Black) and took it up to him for signing. When he saw it his eyes lit up and he smiled and said, "Man, where did you get that?" He confirmed that it was his from last year and was surprised that they were selling game used helmets at the Fan Day.

hate to break it to you man but the game used helmets were either auctioned off or kept by players/families. the helmets for sale were used in practices and such. at the end of the season they put clean stickers on and sale them. legally they have to put the white sticker on for safety. while it might look the same, you paid 3x the price for a helmet that was worn by several different people during spring, summer and fall, none of which were in the game.

Got it from when I was still in school. He threw it in the dugout after a bad AB and cracked it so one of the equip guys we knew gave it to me… it was the year he broke the doubles record…

i'm not selling it b/c i've been looking for one for about a year now, but it was 125 at fan day. lsu use to sell them for 80 bucks....guess they jacked the prices up a little.
