re: GOLD OUT DOESNT EVEN COMPARE

well in person was different...it was deff not solid gold. I just hate how LSU fans cant follow directions....even Colorado and Vanderbilt can follow directions when asked to wear one color. Is it that hard to throw on a gold shirt? Everyone has a gold shirt, and if you want to wear your lucky shirt, put a gold one on top of it.

And this worked soooo well for Georgia.

Its not that it "works" for the home team, it is just for the look of things. You can not honestly believe a "insert color here" out dictates ths outcome of a game. It is just the simple fact that other teams, when asked to do it, do it. LSU has never been able to do it....EVER.

I'm pretty sure that I can get louder regardless of what color shirt I have on.
Dude, what the hell are you talking about??? I wasn't saying that the color of my shirt made me louder??!!??!! READ ALL OF MY POSTS BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING THAT STUPID!!!

FWIW, the people who don't follow a silly fad are NOT the ones leaving early.
I beg to differ, but I'm talking about the fan base in general.
You always hear, LSU does not need a stupid color game to show its spirit, we dont need a color game to get our spirit up, we are the national champs, blah...blah...
People just need to get off their asses and scream their heads off and show a little pride and wear the school color announced. Would be nice if LSU handed out 92K gold shakers to go along with the gold game.
Tiger Stadium appears to be dying a slow death

wouldnt 99.9999% of lsu fans have a gold or purple shirt anyway?
I, for one, do not have a gold LSU shirt.
Purple? Check
Grey? Check
White? Check
Gold? Nope...No gold shirts...
I think this is the base issue. Not many have/wear yellow/gold. JMO

well find some couch change...go to walmart...and get you a freakin $1.00 plain gold shirt...its that simple. That is no freakin excuse.

I NEVER SAID THAT WEARING/NOT WEARING A CERTAIN COLOR HELPED OUR TEAM WIN...(although I did have my purple coaches shirt on under my gold Polo...I pick a certain shirt to wear to every game each year...it just happened to be the purple one this year...but, i don't believe in superstition

i only have 1 gold lsu shirt. but i've got a bunch of purple and white ones.
i think a purple out would have been significantly more successful, i like wearing purple in the stadium over gold

Oh yes it is...I don't want a yellow shirt.
And I think you will find that South La is full of free thinking strong willed people who do not like to be told what to do/wear.

I can't understand why all of us Tiger Fans can't follow simple directions!!!
When I was a toddler, my Mom chose my shirts and dressed me. I guess you haven’t gotten past that point in your life.

Personally, I saw alot of gold, but not enough. I saw a ton of people wearing purple, white, etc. When other schools do a "black" out or a "white", EVERYONE WHERES IT. NOT AT LSU....we can never get everyone to do it.
I got tickets at the last minute and my wife doesnt own a gold shirt...so she wore her white LSU shirt and we didnt have to spend money on another shirt. Deal with it.

UGA, penn state and even Hawaii had no trouble with this simple task.
So you want to be like other teams? I like the stadium with all the different colors. This white, gold, purple, black out shite is retarded. I will be at every game and wear the LSU colors of my choice and will be a bigger fan than somebody that "follows the directions". You are probably a crowd follower in life too, with no ideas of your own wondering why you can't get ahead in life.

Les Miles " Alright guys, lets go take the field..but dont look at our fans, they are not dressed in all gold for the gold game"
Players "But Coach, what's that mean?"
Les Miles "Well guys..that means our fan base sucks, and are not behind you guys..how dare they reach for the purple shirt instead of gold..F 'em, lets go lose this one"

Although I don't think a "Purple Out" would come across on TV as well.

do you wear your sunglasses at night too?
if the team you're rooting for asks you to wear gold to achieve a desired effect in the stadium, wear a fricking gold shirt, a-hole

didn't say that...I was just saying that wearing all gold for a designated GOLD GAME shows our players, even more than simply showing up to the game, how much we are "BEHIND THEM".

Maybe I missed it ... did Les Miles or the "team" plead for the fans to wear gold to ensure a victory? Or did the administration decide it would look cool?
