See the reason I can't stand ulL fans is their asinine push to be Louisiana instead of Louisiana-Lafeyette. It pisses me off both as an LSU alum and ULM grad school alum!!! This is going to come across cocky, but from the LSU stand point you are not Louisiana...it's just fact that LSU is the college team people associate with our state...don't try to act like something you're not! And from ULM I've gotten the impression that ULL people think they are far superior and just can't possibly be associated with ULM scum! I don't claim to be a ULM fan by any means, but one thing I was super proud of ULM for was that when they got success (that season they beat arky and got their first ever bowl bid) they didn't try to say they WERE Louisiana or that people should call them UL...it just made them proud to be ULM!
Anyway...rant over! Thanks for being an awesome cajun fan, Charlie! Cheers tonight!!!

Good for you. My allegiance is always to LSU & they were my team since as far as my memory goes. Then came the Saints. For me, that's who I care most about. Last I checked, it's America. You can pull for any team you want. But if I'm alive & my Grandchildren play Sports, you can bet I'll wear those colors. (with P&G underneath!)

What I don't get is why anyone with any self confidence has a problem with this from an LSU stand point? If you stand here and thump your chest as being the flagship university, as being the best in most if not all sports and having the largest sports revenue, then why is this such a big thing to you?
I promise you, no one sitting at home watching ESPN8 the one time out of the year that they're on and looks at ULL if its written UL on the scoreboard and thinks to themselves, "They must have replaced LSU as the flagship university and must have passed them up as being superior in all sports".
ULL fans dislike LSU because of their success, LSU fans dislike ULL fans because ULL fans dislike LSU. I'm not sure if most ULM fans really care either way about either of the two.

Why any semi intelligent LSU fan would actively root against an in state, non rival school like ULL is beyond me.
