Sure wish we had that 6'-7" Offensive Lineman Patrick Miller. Gunner fricked us over!!!

Did Gunner ever apologize?

Replace redneck with 95% of this board and you would be accurate.

At the end of the day, How does this situation make LSU look good? That is what that pep rally should have been about, but thats not what the national media is talking about.. So, more than anything it was another blunder by Lester...

but as for some kid who is just having a hard time making up his mind and is trying to keep his options open ... whatever happens happens. When a school tries to hot box you, as a recruit, you have a right to look out for yourself. He doesn't owe anybody anything.

Maybe you think he doesn't but had that been my kid he would have called CLM as soon as he changed his mind instead of being a wuss and just not showing up at LSU. Kiel is intelligent enough to know that his decision was going to affect another recruit's life forever. So instead of Miller being at LSU he had to enroll at his 2nd choice. Pretty selfish on Kiel's part!

The kid committed to Indiana, de-commited, committed to LSU, never showed up (in his mind, de-commited but didn't have the balls to tell any of the coaches that recruited him. Take the pansy way out and just not say anything or show up.)
. Bird an I do agree with you that Kiel comes off looking like a total puss in this deal.

The entire purpose behind NSD is so kids don't have to decide early. That's the system in place. You do what you can, you get who you can get on signing day, and that's that. Complaining about a kid who changes his mind is essentially bitching about the rules, and in the case of Kiel who decommitted from Indiana, pretty damn hypocritical as well.

Before you start bashing Miles, you should probably educate yourself on how the EE process works. It is much different than NSD in Feb.

GK screwed LSU out of two solid players, essentially.

Also, for those of you who listen to ESPN, you really need to quit. ESPN is NOT in the business of helping LSU. I don't understand what is so difficult to grasp about this. ESPN is not your friend. Why give someone attention that clearly doesn't like you?

I think he's right to question the young man's strength of character after he bails on him without so much as a phone call letting him know he wasn't coming in after all, after they had made plans to accommodate him and actually lost out on another recruit so they could fit him in.

Though maybe he shouldn't say things like this in public

+1 Miles probably would have been better served by not commenting as it was water under the bridge at that point in time. However, I get tired of hearing this BS that he is just an 18 year old kid as an excuse. At 18 you can sue and be sued.If you commit a felony, you go to the "big boys prison" not the "juve" facility.Tied of the kid excuse,it is getting a little old. There are plenty of 18 year olds that don't pull the kind BS that Keil and Davis pulled on LSU.Everyone should be held accountable for their actions.

Didn't Saban say something derogatory about a LB who spurned us when Saban was coaching here? And no one said anything.

He did.

I still find it funny how Saban was a second rate coach when he was at LSU, a liar when he left Miami high and dry, and then became a God the moment he donned a red shirt.

Oh, gotta love the media.

Is your memory that short?

Saban played second fiddle to Carrol and Stoops when he was at LSU.

I remember this well. Part of the reason I quit watching ESPN 9+ years ago.

When we played Okla for NC, media called Okla team the best in history.Media felt USC should have played instead of LSU.The AP awarded USC the NC title.According to media in 2003, Saban and LSU were second fiddle.LSU got the last laugh.BCS Crystal Ball.Carrol and Stoops were certainly the media's "fair haired boys."
