It's Drake Nevis. A linebacker cannot match the impact a defensive tackle can make on any given play. Drake's penetration can blow a play up before it starts and the double teams he commands free up other players. Kelvin was the leader and a great player, but an interior lineman is more effective....and I am not downplaying the value of a middle linebacker who is a run stopper and plays pass defense.....but look at the national title teams and you will find great d-linemen and many times a great d-tackle.
I agree

PP took on the other team's best WR and unless we were playing zone, rarely, if ever, had safety help. This allowed our other CBs to roam, play aggressive and make exceptional plays.

Unless someone can do what PP did, our scheme won't allow the other CBs to take so many chances and blitz because we won't be able to roll safeties over with as much frequency.

Losing PP means changing up the scheme.

I would agree with Jasper. I would also say Shep because their isnt like another high quality player waiting in the wings, at least one we have seen. The same isnt true with the D line or defensive backs

1) Sheppard (without a doubt
2) Jasper (money man)
3) PP7 (returns, DB)
4) Nevis
