I think one of the main reasons nobody threw the towel in on Jarrett Lee was because he accepted that he made terrible mistakes, and threw int's and took ownership of it instead of acting like a baby about it. There's redemption in that, and that is why people are OK with JL playing. JJ has been IMO the complete opposite.

jesus christ thats one of the best things thats been written on here....its been in my mind a thousand times but I cant put that shite down on paper or type it to save my life..

JJ's redshirt year has not been burnt. He should certainly redshirt next year unless Lee gets injured.

In hindsight, it would have been better to finish the season 0-3 with Lee down the stretch than to put that kind of pressure on a true freshman.

I'm gonna put your post down as one of the most ignorant of the year. True freshmen pressure bs is for whiners.

That said, you do know JL got hurt in '08, don't you?

Choc, we generally fall on the same side of things. But IMO JJ has really not even attempted to support this team. He'll, when we are on D, JL is cheering for a stop. JJ is on the bench, pouting.

He is old enough to be more mature, in his play, and his actions. There is no energy from the players when JJ is on the field. He shows no investment, or ability to motivate. Couple these things withnatrocious productivity.....and he has lost all support, including mine. Miles is also losing my faith by playing him.

I hate analogies, but JJ IS Aaron Brooks, without the ability.

holy shite, tigerfoot....didnt know you had it in you...
welcome aboard the reality cruiseline...

Maybe this is what he needs to do to keep his confidence up.

confidence?. the guy blames others for his failures...the guy needs to be humbled in the worst way...

saw him criticize himself coming off the field on multiple occasions.

For the record, Lee was not out for the rest of the season when he got hurt. He was available for the final two games of the season.

I guess many missed it, but it happened. Most were too busy being frustrated by the missed completion. Coming off the field, what do you think "He's was wide open" meant with no one around? He was the only one that threw the ball.

By the way, I'm not arguing for the JJ to play. At this point, I'm more concerned about putting JLee out there with Crowton calling the plays. He'll eventually put him in a real bad situation with poor pass protection. Crowton doesn't have a real feel for the game. JLee is just doing a great job executing the plays called.

All im gonna say about JJ and Miles, If Les starts him, then JJ needs to step up and start playing. He needs to have a good game. Its time JJ! Apparently Les sees something there. So fricking show us something.

Agreed. I would still like to see them allow JJ to watch JLee play and learn. But because this is his third year playing, he only has 1 year left so the coaches are trying to play and develop them both. I think this is risky.

Obviously somebody does...

JJ is piss poor and you know it. That's not taking anything seriously, that's stating the facts.

He has 2 years to play 1, actually. He very well could redshirt behind Lee next year, then have his redshirt senior year to play. I doubt Jefferson would agree to that, though. I honestly think it's his and the team's best option if Lee stays healthy next year.
