re: Has Gunner Kiel (or his family) responded to Les's NSD comment?

Those saying Les has no "class" (by the way, I hate this damn term) - it's not like he held a 20 minute interview telling the world how much of a bitch Gunner Kiel is. He made ONE, quick snarky comment to address what happened and to lead in to the signing of another guy.
Les could have gone off for 15 minutes and I'd endorse the hell out of it. One little comment, to a kid who backed out of commitments to TWO schools (one at the last second, with no prior notice), is justifiable and does not show a "lack of class".
You little babies.

coach miles comments were more about the balls on liggins to announce in his mississippi town square than the chest on kiel.
best of luck to all parties involved - wouldn't surprise me if miles and kiels have talked on the phone

Exactly what I'm trying to emphasize. It was surely not a news worthy story by any means IMO.
you left off Bazinga, this would have helped the rantards see your sarcasm

Are there any classless posts in this thread by posters?

so what if he decommited the day b4 he was suppose to come to school
I believe the rub is, he never "decommited". He just didn't show up here, but did show up at ND.
It's his right to show up where he pleases.
His not having the stones to tell anyone he "decommited" got him a call out an a LSU recruiting bash...cry me a river.

lolwut? These people have shown pretty low class. Les is a damn classy coach. You can't deny that.
Seems silly to vilify the recruits when coaches do these kinds of things. Just my 2 cents.

Didn't Les have to only send home a kid with a grey shirt because of recruiting violations he uncovered by a coach he fired over it? Doesn't seem silly to me. What seems silly is everyone sticking up for a kid who lied about what he was going to do, and everyone jumping on a coach who has shown more and more frequently that he'll suspend fools and kick ponks off the team when needed. Honestly, who suspends their starting QB right before the Oregon game? Cliff Harris barely got suspended and he was just a CB....

Bobby Hebert seems to think Lee's father called Kiel's father and said he'd be stupid to let his son play for Miles.

I Would say I hope we play them this or next year, but my god, how far would we have to fall to play them....

Class = running down 18 year old kids publicly

Who knows what "fine print" is discussed in a recruiting deal, but I don't ever recall Les even hinting at such regarding other recruits (cp. Janzen Jackson, Kenny Bell, Joe McKnight). So he must have felt really betrayed for him to say something as he did on NSD.
"Ain't no pancake so thin that it doesn't have two sides to it" so it'd be interesting to hear what the Kiel's have to say.

I'm confused.
18 year old kids? As in more than one? Who are others? And who did Miles rundown?
After Kiel committed to Indiana, de-committed, then committed to LSU and in his mind "de-committed" (I just won't show up, email the coaches or call. I guess they'll get the hint).... I don't blame Miles for saying what he said.
The kid ended up costing the football program two good recruits so I don't blame the coaches for being a little ticked off at him.
Do they have to be professional and do their jobs? Definitely.
Did they/Miles do anything unprofessional or did they let the kid know that they have a problem with the way he handled his "de-committment?" Nothing unprofessional and most definitely they gave him something to think about.

Greyshirt???
I think you are confused, he told him that he could not be an EE. I don't know where you are getting Greyshirt from. Please know the facts before trying to slam someone.

the kiel family has more class than les miles You mean the kinda class it takes to change your mind the night before school starts, costing another recruit the opportunity to go to the school he wanted to go to?
Yeah. I think that's what he meant.

Is he referring to what happened with Porter?

Hey you dummy, he didn't decommit the day b4. He just flat out didn't show up to the early enrollee's meeting. They didn't even know until almost that evening. His comments were made a an LSU recruiting party to bolster up another recruit and fire up the fans. I'm tired of everyone talking shite about Les. If you don't like him than geaux fricking cheer for some other school. Either back the winningest coach in LSU history, who's brought us to 2 NC games in 4 years or STFU and GTFO.
regardless he shouldn't have said what he said anyway and if you wanna fire up fans do it by bringing in a great recruiting class or winning football games not by calling out a fricking 18 year old
les should have been the bigger man in his situation and jus bc he is the coach of our football team doesn't mean that we have to back everything he does

Why not? It was hardly egregious.
