Some additional points:
He apparently won a championship in HS. I didn't know that. So he does know how to win.
Also I like that he first came to LSU as a walk on (knew that already). He WANTS to be a Tiger.
I also liked his comment about the most important thing a QB does is decision-making. With so many of the QB debates on here people often pick JR because of his arm and size. While they certainly help, knowing the playbook cold, reading defenses, making the right reads and adjustments, not turning the ball over, and coolness under pressure matter at least as much. My guess is that Hatch excels on several of these points. I still think he'll wind up winning the starting job.

Who asked him if he was religious? What has that got to do with anything in football?
Nothing. But it's called getting to know the man. There's more to these young guys than the fact that they play football for LSU.

Are you still a religious man?
Reminds me of the reporter that asked Doug Williams how long he'd been a black quarterback.

I'm starting to warm up to the fact of him being our QB. I think either one will do a pretty good job. Great interview.

Great interview.
Andrew sounds as confident, personable, and well spoken as you can hope for, given the circumstances--very encouraging.
Encouraging because, if you're in a position where you need a QB to just manage the offense, not try to do to much, etc., a sharp guy like Andrew seems well suited to do just that.

Got this from his bio on LSUsports.net:

I think we'll be fine this year. Hatch sounds like a very bright and confident young man. It sounds like he knows that all he has to do is let all the talent on the team do what it has to do and he will be there to guide it. Good luck to the team and hatch. I cant wait to see him play.

For someone who hasn't been interviewed much during his career, Hatch did a great job handling all the questions, including the ones on Religion!
Unless something major happens, totally expect him to be the starting quarterback in a few weeks.

A few observations:
Keiland sounds like a very intelligent young man.
Lee sounds very mature.
Ciron is the man!

Hatch sounds very well spoken. I don't know how intelligence translates into football I.Q. (reading defenses, audibles, ext.) but he sounds like the model LSU QB: game manager who executes the offense. He said it himself.

Intelligent?
Intelligent?
Intelligent?
Harvard?
Folks, Hatch made a 30 on his ACT!!!!!!!!
30 on his ACT!!!!!!!! A freaking 30!
His IQ must be over 130 or near genius!
One reporter asked him if the offense/playbook going to be limited with your and Lee's lack of experience?
Hatch answered...,"Our play book is NOT going to be limited"!
Hello!
Hatch is the man I want to QB this team...we may not be in such bad shape after all!
