First, What's Coleman have to do with Francois?

They played the same position for the same coaching staff, one year apart.

Also, im wondering if Chavis felt more comfortable with Blitzing Coleman with a Seasoned Cutera,Sheppard and Riley. Then a back group of Chad Jones and Danny McCray. They all have to be in sync.

I Also wonder if Francois, Wasnt sent on Blitzes in Base packages more cause Baker(Hints why they are considerig moving him to Mike) is weaker in Pass Coverage.

Chavis wasn't ok blitzing Francois, but was ok with putting in a true frosh CB and blitzing him with the same set of players on the field that Francois played with (Shep, Baker, and the safeties)? Now it seems you're just trying to be argumentative.

Here's the stats for the last 5 years of Chavis LB play:

2006 (UT): LB were the #1, #3, and #5 in total tackles on the team.
2007 (UT): LB were the #1, #2, and #5.
2008 (UT): LB were the #1, #2, and #5
2009 (LSU): LB were the #1, #2, #3, and the backup was #4
2010 (LSU): LB were #1, #2, and #9

There's one starting LB that doesn't fit the trend. And now Chavis is moving a safety down to compete for the job.

But I hope thats not what u think Weak side means?

Oh wait, it's not the "weaker in coverage" side. I think Francois is definitely better in coverage being a former safety. And since Chavis has moved 3 former safeties into the strong side lb position, I think he values coverage and manning up w/ the TE from the strong side

the days of the big, physical SSs left when urban walked in and the sec shifted to more of a spread. your back 4 have to be able to cover wrs.

hatcher to lb.
cb1-mo
cb2-simon
ss-taylor

Not happening. Starting CB. Maybe put him in the nickel slot when that package is on the field

Your totally right man.. I bet Chavis sits up top and says to himself "Francois Sucks arse". Mathieu and Baker are better Blitzers then Francois. Francois is better in pass coverage then BAker and better on the run then Mathieu ( against a TE, Mathieu maybe better in space IDK) We are comparing Apples and Oranges, because im taking up for Francois not sucking arse. Hatcher's move to me ( if really happening ) says Chavis wants Hatcher on the field. Therefore, not a knock on Francois ( who i can see filling a need at will if need be).

Sometimes stats dont tell the whole story on who's consistent. Would you rather have a guy who has two games with 6 sacks or a guy who gets a sack every game?

Obviously, im not trying to be argumenative. Just saying Francois, did what was asked of him from the Sam Position, He did his Job. The game he played the Longest he had 9 tackles (Mathieu also had a great game that night) Therefore, Mathieu being an excellent talent doesnt take away from that. It just shows we have a nickel package that doesnt require a SS/Sam type player to be put in that spot anymore, and we have proper personnel to do so.

Yes, they did and whats the point? That Coleman is a better player? Yes, I agree. However, I thought Francois played position better. Alem, had better stats last year then Adams this year. But I promise you Adams played his position better. Just the way it works.
