Such a bummer, but have peace knowing where he is at. Isn't it amazing how you can fall in love with someone that you have never met? That boy impacted my life and many on this board. That is the great thing about God, we question why? But look at how He used Sid for us and many others.

My heart is broken. My prayers for the Ortis family; no parent should have to bury a child. There will always be an emptiness that will never be filled. Having trouble even typing this. Rest in peace sweet Sid.

Next Saturday the streets of Heaven will be purple and Gold as Sid will lead the Tigers in Heaven to a rousing cheer of Tiger Bait.
God's Peace to all his family.

Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said better in this thread. Sad news indeed. As a father of a 17 year old girl and a 14 year old boy, it's been impossible to keep up with this story without thinking about them and how difficult this must be as a parent.
Hope the Ortis family can find some comfort and peace.
RIP Sid.

Truly an inspiration to us all. The way he fought just to live, just to see his family, just to see his Tigers play. I'm amazed. Sid, you've fought the good fight brother. But your pain is no more. You were truly a blessing to us in your time here. But you're in a better place up there and your suffering and pain has ended. Say Hi to Pop for me, will ya. Prayers for your family and friends. You now have the best seat in the house.
