All this defenseless player stuff....what is he suppose to do hold his hand till he is finished catching the ball and walk him to the side lines. I have seen Laron do it a hundred times....its hardnose football. Kid made a great play.

There's no place in football for targeting a player above the shoulders. Coaches and players will either adapt and change the way they go about the game or be gone.

Appears to me that La tech and Haggard have engaged in a successful farce for 6 pages.
There's really no way to defend that no call, notwithstanding all this nonsense about "forearms" and "facemasks".
I guess if you are a la tech fan, you get invested in any spectacular play, no matter how bush league.

The angle of the La Tech player show him launching himself towards Tolliver's head. Easy call. Try again Tech fans...Haggard how is life at Hogwarts this fall?

I have seen that a lot of people on this board are blaming Jarret Lee for the hit on Terrance Toliver. Jarret Lee has had a rough time, but come on, the problem was helmet to helmet hit by La Tech back (I think it was #31 Free Safety). It was clear that this was intended to take Toliver out. The guy's arms were at his side, and he launched head first. Where did the officiating crew come from? I can't believe the NO CALL on this play.

could not tell from where i was sitting or on the replay. Post pic or link to vid or gtfo.

How could you not see that on the replay? Did the CST replay not show because the ESPNU broadcast showed it about 5 times.

See 8th pic down. Clearly led with his arms.

Nice try. Try backing up a couple of frames. I was sitting next to two Tech fans at the game who both acknowledged it should have been a penalty. Striking with the helmet anywhere above the shoulders is an illegal strike, doesnt't matter if he led with his feet.

Except he initiated contact with his forearms into Toliver's chest. Probably hard to see live at the game.
