You do realize... That you were only closer to the final number by 4. You were 6 under. I was 10 over.

And all the stats point toward it being a fluke that LSU hit less than 60. Our average and doubles were way up compared to most teams. But our HRs were lower.

Look at the stats Astro posted in my thread. Other teams saw a BA increase of 7%. And doubles that low too. Yet their HRs increased by 40. If we had gone along with the national average we would have had 58 HRs. If we had gone over like we did in every other category, it would have been 65.

The numbers don't lie. 51 is the outlier. You even being as close as 6 was just luck.

10% increase of 41 is 4.... Max 45... That's 6 lower than 51.

20 more than 41 is 61. We hit 51. I was off by 10.

So I was 10 over. You were 6 under.

Did I really just have to explain that all to you?

yea a 40 home run increase was caused by new baseballs and new baseballs alone. Couldn't have been anything else. Gotcha. We were talking about LSU, and I was considering a lot of things when I said that we weren't going to hit 60+ home runs this year and I was right. End of story. Me being as close as 6 was because baseball was my job for 2 years and I played every day at one of the best sports academies in the world for 4 years. I actually understand the game, you don't. You're a fricking loser that played at Millsaps and you think that means that you're suddenly an expert, leave the thinking to guys that understand the game champ, go take your shitty arse physics degree elsewhere and enjoy your $30k a year

It's 4.1. You can't hit .1 home run so you round up. Aren't you a statistics expert?

You, along with other posters, were acting like "close to 70" wasn't farfetched. You never predicted that we just sat at 60, you and everyone else were SURE that we were going to go over. Dipshit

So I was 10 over. You were 6 under.
And we only lost to Mississippi State by a touchdown this year, was it really that close? Your prediction incredibly off and mine was rational and close, you're a moron bud

I meant percent. 40%

Please. Tell me why you didn't think LSU wouldnt get to 60. What did you take into account??? I'd love to know!

All you spewed here was the bats. That's the only reason you gave. Anything else? Why didn't you give them back then? Let's hear it.

We hit 2 more HRs this year and I'm as close as you. But yeah.

You are being rational. And I'm a dipshit. Yet all the other stats in the world say that 60 was never far fetched and its "off" that we only got 51.

Wow more hypotheticals...big surprise. Crawfish more stats for me so you can feel like less of a dumbass! A ball won't add 20 home runs for one team over the course of a season, you're a complete moron if you think it will. Stick to your day job bud, or better yet go to sports Academy and buy a minor league and old college baseball, put them in a bucket, whirl it around, and tell me if you can tell the difference between the two. Your thinking is flawed, sorry but I was right and you were wrong, blow me

We increased by more than 10%. You were wrong, and you have no idea how math or statistics work. You are an idiot.

Whoa. You can't tell the different? The leather alone makes it obvious.

Should I pull up and find every team that increased HRs by 20 over the last year?

Are you surprised that we had a 25% increase in HRs? You said 5-10% would shock you. You should be floored at the increase!!!!!1

Vanderbilt's HRs increased by 47 from last year to this year. The new ball surely didn't have any impact on them.

I never even said that we were going to hit 10% more home runs, I was referring to offensive production and I've just been going with it since I'm still closer to being right than him. My main argument was that it's fricking ridiculous to say that we hit over 60 HR's this year and I was 100% right

But if we had increased our numbers by 40% like the rest of college baseball, then we would have had 58. How is that ridiculous? Do I need to look up the word for you?

We didn't. We didn't even come close and we even played more games. Why don't you find the average increase for the top 25 HR teams instead of clinging to some stat derived from 300 teams?
