re: How should we attack BYU's defense?

Well if LSU can move the chains and keep your offense off the field (much more likely) the it will be your defense sucking wind. Y'all have no clue what's coming. This offense isn't fast paced from a clock perspective. Have you watched any of Pitts games? It was very methodical moving down the field. It will be very similar. We will show you different runs, sideline to sideline, mix in easy throws, and when your defense has to come up to stop it, we will hit you deep. It's going to be a real challenge for your defense to stop. Again there is absolutely nothing wrong with our OL. I have no idea where this is coming from but our OL is very good. Y'all will be very surprised if your expecting a weak OL. Lol

This is also fake news about the WRs and drops. It's situational scrimmages, they are putting the offense and defense is tough situations to be able to perform on a high level. All these reports are very overrated. You will all see very soon just what LSU has and just how good our coaches are at preparing them, compared to the last regime. They make practice much harder than the game. Our QBs are much improved. Our WRs all do great things and we have coaches who will highlight these strengths. They won't ask someone to do something they can't consistently. Maybe once or twice to see how they react but we have guys who can do it all as well. Our starters in typical situations will not be dropping passes lol. I don't think you guys know the BR or LA media. They are more geared toward the cautious side of the story. The media here is very hard on LSU. Not media friendly area what so ever so you will hear things that you will never see come game day. I can't wait for this game lol.

Lots of points to agree with here BayouBengal99. As a BYU fan I do have concerns about our depth on defense. We've transitioned from a 3-4 to 4-3 and with the loss of our LB Bernard, our whip backer is going to be one of our bigger safeties so it may look more like a 4-2-5. Hopefully coming down from altitude gives the players some wind they may not have had.
with how closed things are I don't think anyone really knows what's coming. My expectations would be that Canada wants to make sure that in a game setting the players are able to execute without penalty all the motions he incorporates, while at the same time not putting too much out there in a non-conference game.
It does seem that people have an expectation that Canada's offense is fast paced but just because there is constant movement doesn't mean they're getting 100 plays a game in. I think He has shown a good ability to vary pace just like his formations to keep opponents guessing. That being said I don't think they'll fire on all cylinders right out of the gate and hopefully we can capitalize if that's the case.
If we have to go too deep into our rotation things could get ugly but I think people will be surprised with how stout BUYs defense is. Running it right up the middle will probably be the least effective strategy, the edges and secondary in my opinion seems to be the most vulnerable. I expect there to be heavy emphasis in those areas.
