turnovers can't be coached.

I'll admit I didn't see 51 points coming....but if you look at the last two games..Auburn passed for 250+ and State scored 24 on us. Auburn can't get out of their own way and Vandy only allowed 17 to State.

according to some on this board speed and turnovers can be coaches.

eah, that's obviously the coaches fault.
No, but the coaches certainly did not set them up for success. They were faster than Ole Miss and Miami too.
putting a LB on Harvin is idiotic. It happened multiple times. Not getting the signals in on time= coaching.

Man, you told me I was an idiot and jumping the gun after the MSU game.
Every team that has played us in the SEC, has had their best offensive game of the year. The scheme is clearly flawed. THe matchups are awful. The signals get in late. And for some reason our coaches can't fricking count.

coming from c.t., buddy, that is not weak. trust me, this might be one of the nicest posters on this board. so, in my opinion, BOOM!

Unless the coaches were on the field then they cant be blamed for 1000 missed tackles.
i don't know about you but when I played football we did tackling drills everyday and those are basic fundamentals that coaches coach. That said poor tackling can be directly blamed on bad coaching.

I feel like our defense was on the field a lot too. When the offense goes 3 and out and takes 4 drives to get a first down, thats a very short rest for the defense. That and i dont think beckwith was 100% because the way he turned his hips to try to guard harvin on that 2nd td, you could tell he couldnt plant and run with him. I really think we will be fine in the future. Nothing to panic about, the season is still early

Definitely. I have stated that we don't have a QB in the incoming class either. WE better hope we get a stud freshman for 2010 b/c Lee/Jefferson are not the answer.
However, what was the defenses excuse when the offense took the opening drive and marched down the field to score and took 8:00 off the clock. That was plenty of rest. They got out there again and the defense shite on themselves b/c the coaches were confused.

Ah, because I state the truth before anyone finds out.
See Prominentwon's sig quote. I said if the scheme isn't fixed, our d will get destroyed.
So far, so true.

Does this apply to all the other coaches includng Urban Meyer, when his players couldn't tackle Jacob Hester? Or is it just limited to Les Miles?

To quote an old book title:
"I coached well, but did they play bad"
the truth is that there is probably enough blame for everyone to share.
...fair or not, the responsibility falls on the person in charge,;however, the one area that should be obvious is our D (secondary especially).....
maybe someone can assess better than me...is it personnel or coaching ??????....the signs have been there, the fact that we have been winning had blinded us.
sometimes it seems as if the "small things" are not being done right....
Ex
we hit people, we do not tackle and wrap people
the world is not at its end,
but we do need to pay attention.
Practice does not make perfect.
Perfect practice makes perfect.
...it all starts at home.
