I think people giving them votes for the top 25 last year was dumb

it was worse than dumb.

it was an embarrassment to the system. a team wins one freakin game and you forget that the other games they play are against much lesser competition. wait, we are talking about ohio state right?

Your best options at RB and receiver (while highly talented) have had seriously limited playing time due to the quality of the graduating class last year. It their 1st real starting experience.

You apparently haven't sized up your opponent very well.

Dignan showing his idiocy again. I in no way corrected your grammar. I simply pointed out that you have not mastered the "quote" feature this site has. Its simple. If you want to quote someone, highlight the text and get this.....push the "quote button on the right of the text box. Not so hard, genius.

these initial games are crucial to working out the kinks. appy state would likely be ranked in the top 50. not a push-over, but we should kick the shite outta em.

Typically, teams are sloppy in their first game. The old bromide is that the greatest improvement takes place between games one and two. LSU would be playing their initial snaps against a relatively talented Troy team that would be playing its second game, putting LSU at somewhat of a disadvantage.

Troy is probably not as good as App State is. They lost the quarterback that made them competetive last season. They were pretty darned weak on defense. ULL got 400 yards of offense on them last year. Take the quarterback they had away and they'd have been awful.

Appalachian State has a better winning percentage against BCS league opponents during the BCS era than Troy does. Appalachian State has beaten a team that finished in the I-A/FBS top 25. Troy has not.

I really don't get this "Troy respect" thing. Troy has, in its good years, had teams that are basically on the level of the better teams in I-AA/FCS. That's about it. It's basically a "pretender" program.
