Lawlz, the one he threw to Byrd was in the middle of the field sandwiched between two guys. He led him right into a defender, and Byrd got fricked up because of it and had to leave the field. He should have thrown that one WAY earlier. The second one he just held the ball despite pressure. He could have thrown it away easily.
I hope he can learn from this lesson.

Pass was behind Byrd by a long way. J Lee throws a good deep ball. Seems to throw better vertically than timing passes.

One was on Byrd; he bubbled it and then got intercepted. One was that he got hit. If you watched the game, you'd see.
The pas to byrd was into triple coverage. Not a smart pass.
The one he got hit he saw the guy coming. Get rid of it some other way or take the sack.

Wow - I thought we would have one post showing some sympathy but it turned south quickly. He may have problems quarterbacking our team but he is human. Put yourself in his shoes on campus now?

But quite an accurate one, wouldn't you agree?

Not the best decision on the throw, but when it hits you in the hands...

they can't. I don't think most of the haters would qualify to attend LSU, and if they did they couldn't stand up to the demands, pressure and stress this kid is facing every day...
Much less make a SEC championship season magically appear out of the cluster-frick that happened when RP refused to get his shite together!

Does being a prick get you off?
I don't understand why so many people on here want/wish so bad that they're right whenever they post something negative...
I'm not saying criticism is warranted, it is, but to a point. Why does everybody have to be such a dick about it, and why do they have to be so proud of the fact that they are commenting on the negatives?

he is a football player. he was brought here to play football well. he is not doing that right now. boo fricking hoo. if he wants it to go away, he should start throwing to our team instead. we didn't recruit him to come in here and suck.

When did I say anything about hugging anybody? I am a little proud of the fact that I have some human decency

I agree. The QB gets treated like a king when he plays well and takes a lot of heat when he plays poorly. For better or worse it comes with the position and he knows that. Lee doesn't seem to shy away from the criticism which I do respect. However, he is not progressing. He consistently looks very uncomfortable when he drops back. He almost never surveys the field and stares down whoever his primary target is. He then usually throws it off his back foot and often off target. He may one day end up being a good QB, but I think at this point you should at least give JJ a shot.

I am a Lee supporter but this 19 yr old argument is getting old and pointless.
All QBs are in the 19-22 range. There are many 19 yr old QBs out there and many have played for LSU - and have played better.
There was really nothing behind me saying he was 19, just stating his age. It would be tough to be in his spot emotionally at 20 or 21. For a guy like Mauck it was different. A person changes a bit between 19 and 23, 24.

yeah, i would hate to be the starting qb for the defending national champions. that would suck
Posted on 11/9/08 at 5:21 pm to MandevilleLSUTiger
Lee has made some stupid throws. And he can't throw across his body. But let's skip the obvious. Lee isn't being well-served by his receivers. What the hell is Brandon LaFell's problem. That kid cannot hold on to the ball. This young QB needs some heads-up solid play from his receiver corps, not dropped ball after dropped ball!
