JJ can't throw the quick timing passes but he has been good doing what the coaches have asked him to do. AU was the 1st team this season that actually defended the spread and didn't look shocked on D when JJ came in the game.
Also, Les hates fumbles - I think that is why JJ saw limited action in the 2nd half (even though the fumble was recovered and the penalty negated the play).

But he has rushed well against Bama the two times he has actually run well against them (even more shockingly, he's passed very well too against them)...
