Could someone please quote the BCS rule that states a team must win it's conference to play for the BCSNCG.

There is no rule...it's common sense. It's what the media lost their shite over in 2003 when OU was rewarded with a trip to NOLA despite having lost in it's conference championship game. It's essentially WHY the BCS altered its formula to allow these same whiny media pricks to have more say (2/3 of the vote) to right the wrongs of the mean ole computers who had put OU in the game despite having not won their own conference.

Now? These same whiny pricks seem to think not winning one's own conference (hell, not even winning one's own division) is hunky dory.
