This is assuming that the world starts opening up to Americans travelling abroad. Right now, Americans are passe to most of the world.

Other than a few places in Europe (fjords in Norway, Alps in Switzerland), you don't need to leave this country to see some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth.

The finest place to stay in Thailand and tsunami safe — Don’t laugh, get wise and get 100 feet above sea level in your resort and live it up on that oil $$$. Don’t marry a Thai! They’re seductive and they all read that book how to trap the farangs (foreigners).
Only whoremongers go to Jakarta now, where the caddies are infested with STDs.
Surabaya is no better. Bali is beautiful but Aussie lout infested except for a few of the more exclusive resorts.
Avoid Indonesia — Don’t listen to Dubai!
Better is French Polynesia. Lotsa great destinations that offer a month or more at great rates, like Bora Bora, get a Jeep and live high on the hog. Avoid Tahiti except to transfer.
Even better, Southern Belize at the end of the barrier reef near Placencia. My seaside villa is 10 minutes boat ride from amazing reefs and I see whale sharks and amazing sea critters when diving. Go every Spring for 3 months and in late October for two weeks
Utila & Roatan are pretty cool too. Aruba is great as is Grand Cayman — Avoid Mexico
All a couple hours flight from Houston direct

I would prefer them postponing season to spring 2021 and everyone playing real schedule to either cancelling or SEC only schedule. But I dont think this covid is gone in the spring.
