Seems like since they jacked up ticket prices and donations that it isn't as loud and rambunctious as they used to be.

If you were not there, please do not comment on what it was like.

I was there. My ears were hurting when the Gators took the field.

I have been all over the south watching SEC football and Tiger Stadium can not be matched when it is a big game.

I'll comment as much as I want. I never said anything too specific about the Florida game. And I did say it gets quiet sometimes when things aren't going well which numerous people acknowledged about the Florida game. Basically there was nothing to cheer for.

But every school in the country would be nuts too when they are playing the number 1 team in the country at home. It's the mediocre games too that shows the stadiums true colors as well. Those games leave me disappointed numerous times watching the stadium and crowd.

Please specifically elaborate on some of the great Tiger Stadium atmospheres against mediocre teams in the grand mystical age of Tiger Stadium of yore.

Thanks.

I would hope so. I'm not even really talking about the Florida game but overall with the stadium on a week to week basis.

Which of those games were "mediocre"?

How deafening was the stadium in the 4th quarter of that 34-0 routing of Kentucky?

Or do you just really long to go back to the days of tearing down goalposts for beating freaking Tennessee?

Outside of Kentucky all the SEC home games that year were good games. Ms St. was actually ranked and it went to OT. The Tennessee and Alabama games were great games to watch.

Those weren't mediocre games by any stretch and the fans now would show up and be just as loud as they were then.

having watched it on tv, it was so loud in the 1st and early 2nd qtr. you could harldy hear the ref at all when he was trying to speak on the mic.

The stadium got more quiet as the game went on because it sucked. It was one of the most unexciting games I've ever seen.

Nothing deflates a crowd more than the total ineptitude we were watching.

When they cut to the onfield mic, it was as loud as I have ever heard before. Anywhere.

Difference between now and the 80's is that the crowd peters out by the second half it seems (not all the time, but more than in the past.)
