I find this so sad after what Les delivered us year in and out. You know, dominate in the trenches, wear and tear them out while running up the score in the second half football.

And we wanted to fire him for 10 win seasons, despite having the character and morale of a saint. Can’t blame him for having pretty blonds in the front to attract recruits.

We play close to 85% of our games at night in prime time on ABC/ESPN.”

This is not true.

LSU is a top 5 program
in what world is this true?

1 playoff ever in 12 years of playoffs existing. Cincinnati and Michigan State made the same. Washington has more. That is incredibly mediocre.

Bad leadership, overrated talent most years, wasted opportunities. 2019 was anomalous. LSU was a top 5 program between 2003 - 2011. Not anywhere close since.

Facts are difficult to argue against.

BK was so self important he thought he was a difference maker.
He was so ignorant, proven by the action he took in selecting a staff.

I remember when Saban hired a DC with a well established reputation. He fired him after a couple weeks. It was reported that Saban sent him on a recruiting trip. When he called the coach he wasn't doing what he had been instructed. Saban fired him immediately, then he elevated a young no name linebacker coach to DC. That no name was Muschamp. He helped us to a National Championship.

I think we’re solidly above average. For a dozen years, with one outlier, we’ve been a 9 win program. Goes back to Miles.

Let me give you a fact based on incentives.

If you were making 150k a year for 10 years, would you give a shite had you signed a contract where if you were fired year 1, you would get the remainder of the contract? And that’s without the obligation of “attempting” to find an equivalent job…hence why O is still chilling out in Destin. Kelly also doesn’t have the clause where he needs to find a job.

But Franklin does. If we’re Vandy now, let him get us to relevancy like he’s done before.

What’s really tragic is the fact I’ve been working towards 2k posts since 2008, and might run out of shits to get there.

In some delusional heads on here LSU is a top five program. That’s why there is so much frustration. In their minds they are but in reality they are not.

There is functionally no difference between 9-3 and 7-5/6-6. You won’t make the playoffs with either. Who cares if the former means Cap One bowl instead of the Texas Bowl.

LSU is a mediocre program.

Think Emory would buyout the Falcons and turn the name to Emory Eagles? Imagine, a college not giving a frick about CFB because they own an NFL team.

This. I’d prefer we just decline all non playoff bowl invites. The narrative that 12 or 15 practices helps the team the following season is hilariously stupid in today’s game, if it ever had any validity.

Bowls are completely pointless exhibitions now
