all of these are like the 2nd title, MORE reasons for LSU to be nationally prominent

but now the people have spoken rationally about LSU's place EVEN THOUGH we've had all that

There are still a few generations of folks who hear "college football" and think of Keith Jackson saying, Trojans, Buckeyes, Crimson Tide, Wolverines, Irish, etc.
Before the ESPNs and conference affilates with networks, there were only a handful of CFB games on Saturdays and maybe on one network, ABC. LSU vs Bama and sometimes vs Ole Miss were often on ABC and when the game was in BR, Keith Jackson had a unique way of saying "Batone" Rouge. Blimp shots of Tiger Stadium as the sun was setting back in the mid to late 70s on the ABC network was just awesome.

I've always gotten great comments from people when I'm wearing an LSU cap or something. Except when I run into Texas fans.

My friends in the San Diego area love the Tigers and the whole LSU mystique. Its kinda like wow you got New Orleans, bayous, great food etc. The Tiger Nation is bigger than most think.
