Yeah... until they pounded us. The key part of that is that they pounded us.

You no understand.....

Florida right AFTER they lost to an unranked team at home, we saying the same things the rantards have been saying AFTER we lost to a ranked team on the road!!!

The very week they beat Ar"kansas", at least i think thats who they played, then the following week they spanked our butts. And if you remember Florida didn't look real good the first half of their game the week before our game...

Now Florida is once again considered one of the best teams in the SEC... not that they ever wasn't, it was their own fans that was questioning it....

Now, we, LSU, are in a similiar position as Florida was. If we go out and take care of business this weekend, we'll have another big game the following week against Georga. If we win that one, we will once again be considered one of the best teams in the SEC.....

To keep it short.... thats all he was saying....

whats so hard to understand????

The defensive problems have been three games in a row. That's much more of a concern than a loss in the Swamp.

A loss is a loss, but the matter in which we got blown out.

The 6th worst loss in 115 years of LSU football.

The real issue is the soft defense which has been on a downslide since the 2nd half of last season and has been ugly in several games this year.

Not even the 6th worst loss in the last 20 years, let alone 115. Off the top of my head, here is a list of more than six losses by larger margins than 30 points, all since 1988.

2002: Alabama 31, LSU 0
2000: Florida 41, LSU 9
1999: Auburn 41, LSU 7
1996: Florida 56, LSU 13
1993: Florida 58, LSU 3
1992: Ole Miss 32, LSU 0
1991: Texas A&M 45, LSU 7
1990: Florida State 42, LSU 3
1988: Miami 44, LSU 3

There may be more that I haven't thought of or remembered, but I don't like to dwell on those games.

The scariest thing about the above stats is that from after the UF game in 1993 up to before October of 2000, LSU only lost 2 games by a bigger margin than last weeks game. Not comforting at all. But for 1995, 1996, and 1997, those were some seriously dark years for LSU. '95 we lost 4 games (no real wins of conference significance), '96 (2 losses I believe...the best year of the 90's), and '97 I think we lost 3 (beat one team of conference significance). The rest of the 90's were horrible. Never so much as won the SEC West.

p.s., I agree...I'm about as over this last game as I'll ever be. No reason to start the 3012th "it was one damn game ppl." Yeah, we get it, but us negatigers (or as I like to say "realitygers") still think that our defense has been suspect for much longer than "one damn game," we still think the 4 wins we have came against uber-inferior opponents (yes, Auburn fired their O coach mid-season), and we still think our football program is going backwards...not forward.

This is EXACTLY what all the Gaytors have been crying about until they pounded us. "The offense is sluggish." "We can't stop any body." "We lost to Ole Miss." Their was even talk about if Urban had lost the team.

First, I could care less what the Gaytors are crying about. Our problems aren’t in Gainesville. One’s on the sideline and one’s up in the booth. But am I to conclude an underachieving UF offense “pounded” my underachieving defense? That just underscores all the more what so many are concerned about.

The rants will continue until we dominate on defense.

SFP,

You have probably already heard this but your signature picture is horribly offensive. Equating a football game to 9-11 is something only an Alabama coach would do.
