I've got the ND loss as a bad one too. A first round talent RB on the goal line, little time remaining and the opposing offense just went right down the field with little resistance. If you don't make it, the ball is inside the 3 yard line and it forces them to be conservative most likely and you're playing percentages at the point. If you don't make it, you still have the Aranda defense argument.
In the interim year, O built his campaign on "go, go, go, pedal to the metal" and you would think he would do that in an exhibition game. At least that's my opinion on the game.
The ND game was lost when Aranda's D was on the field. Fact - get over it. Enjoy life sometime.

Well he is going into year 3 (I'm counting the 9 games after he took over from Les) so how many years does he need?
So you ARE going to count and conceed the partial year where the Offense set numerous Offense records. Cool.
Now tell me again what your big bitch is about?

We played an absolute shite schedule last year
Is that even possible in the SEC West?

I never said he couldn't. I said he hasn't in 20 years which is a fact. He was running someone else's offense in 2016.
Correct! Coach Enslinger ran the same offense and and had the same players Les and Cam did. The difference being Coach E set Offensive school records using it. How in god's name is that detrimental to him as an OC?

One thing I will about gurantee you is that we will see an offense that finally uses the TE as an integral part of the offense. Les failed in yet another way by forgetting to use this position as it should be used.
I do not fathom how an LSU fan can not be excited about the changes and Offense we are going to see.

I only care if it translates to wins. Ed was hired to win, and win immediately.
It’s put up or shut up time. I’m sick of being moral victory U and next year U.

I would have more confidence had the Orgeron/Ensminger combo scored at least 1 point against Bama in '16

Haven't read the whole thread, but this is pretty much on point...

the thread wasn't started by a "negatiger". It was more propaganda from someone who's trying way too hard to convince themselves that Orgeron is a good head coach. You have to wonder why they can't just post his career record and point to his track record as a head coach to say he's a good coach. Instead, they start these "y'all wait and see" threads. I mean seriously, whatever. If he was worth a shite, you wouldn't have a divided fan base. But keep crying pussy

We can make this real simple. What he has proved is the following:
1. He is better than when he was at Ole Miss (not that hard to do) and learned a thing or two since then.
2. He is capable of coaching a team to have complete let downs (UF 2016, Troy and MSU 2017).
3. He is the only LSU HC to lose to a Sun Belt team on homecoming.
4. He has proven to be able to identify weaknesses at OL and DL and recruit at a level to provide quality depth and pull in impact players at those positions (more so DL).
5. He has not completely overcome past bad baggage that helps with negative recruiting used against him and LSU. Gets tough to overcome when trying to lure OOS four and five star recruits (read Wilson, Akers etc.).
6. He has proven he can rally a football team after sharp diversity as in post Troy last year.
7. He has proven he can win 9 games as a HC. Has not proven he can win more and has proven a decade a go he can win much less.
Everything else is yet to be determined. Chapter and book not yet complete...

They are certainly trying to do it. We saw glimpses in the spring game. But it does not mean squat until it is done in an SEC game.

I never said differently. But, wouldn't have been nice if we were ahead by 7 instead of 3? As I said before, if you don't get the touchdown, chances are they have to be conservative. Play the probability. I wasn't surprised that we misses a tackle because the defense looked gassed on the previous possession.

Bruh, were you drinking last night? Again, show me where I said that Ensminger was a "detriment". As I said before those records were broken because of rushing yards against terrible defenses with 2 first round talented running backs. I also said that the fact that Ensminger hasn't designed and implemented his own offense in 20 years and that made him more of a question mark than a positive accomplishment.
If you would have read more you would have seen that I said I liked the concepts and what they were trying to do in the spring game and that will depend on how will it can be coached.
Stop trying to twist things into everyone being negative about your guys.

I bet you were just as excited last year for Air Canada.

There hasn't been a single year of my life I haven't been excited for LSU football to begin. Its in the blood, "Bruh."
You continue to solidify my points. Thanks
If Ensminger could do what he did with Leslie's team why couldn't Leslie do it?
Thanks for playing

Against the 2 teams with a pulse, they scored a combined total of 10 points

You can't be serious. In your other posts you were saying we should be excited because of this offense. Now, you're just saying you're excited every year. Which is it?

If they were doing so great why get rid of Cam? You can't have it both ways. Did the offense improve after Ensminger took over or did it not?
