I dont think we can afford to lose one game this year and expect to win a NC since the East is weaker

I really wonder what the deeper nuances of the Jefferson/Miles relationship are like. What a strange, strange thing...wow.

I hope you all read this and think about it for a moment. Kinda long and I know people hate these kinds of posts but...The last few years the SEC has won the National Championship, Here recently it's been pretty obvious to people of all fan base how corrupt the SEC officiating has been in pushing their top SEC contending teams to the BCS National Championship. It was very obvious last year the SEC wanted an undefeated Alabama / Florida game to solidify a spot in the National title game. This year it looks like the same thing is happening as well.
LSU and Auburn are the two highest ranked and only undefeated teams left in the SEC. The obvious home cooking for Auburn last week is obvious they wanted and got this weeks game to be between two undefeated teams. The winner of this game will take a big step in the polls and in the SEC. I truly believe the winner of this game will catch a lot of breaks in the later part of the season with officiating. Problem is this game has everything pointing to Auburn winning. It's a home game for them and their offense under Newton looks pretty good. Newton is gaining Heisman hype and LSU has struggled on offense. I am afraid the SEC will be pushing Auburn over LSU in this game, As I feel they think Auburn has a better shot at staying undefeated.
Now it does not hurt having LSU undefeated and ranked #6 either as a backup option to go with in case Auburn craps the bed. Now I think Auburn is very beatable and I feel we match up well against them, I mentioned all of this to get to this little fact. With this game meaning so much as far as the West goes and possibly much much more. Why would Miles risk so much at stake with starting and playing Jefferson as much as he has been. Given the facts that he has greatly underachieved and has been like a clog in our offensive production.
Lee has been very impressive in his limited action and the team looks more alive under his leadership. The offense looks like two different teams under Jefferson and under Lee. Many have stated Jefferson will remain the starter until he loses a game for us, Which may or may not be the right mindset but with so much on the line and so much at risk why put so much on the line when you don't have too?
Hopefully this team steps up huge and really shows up for this game, They will need to be 110% focused because beating a hyped up Auburn at Auburn is going to be really tough. Risking offensive points and possessions is not the best game plan for this game. In fact it should be the opposite. Control the clock and keep the ball moving on offense to keep the defense fresh to make plays, No matter how good our defense is it's always harder for a defense to stop a very good offense from scoring for the whole game. We need major help from our offense and yet starting a kid who has done nothing to keep drives moving and turning the ball over is not the answer. We have to keep the ball away from their offense as much as possible.
If Miles loses this game because of his determination to start and play Jefferson I don't think the fan base or media will hold anything back. Miles will have sealed his fate. It's one thing to do everything you can to win and come up short it's another to do the opposite and lose. A lot of people had poor expectations for us this year and to have come so far from those expectations to be playing for a chance to rule your own future and make poor coaching decisions and lose now would be too epic.

I honestly think he made a promise to somebody very close to him after Lee was pulled for the interceptions that as long as he was at LSU, Lee would never start another game. It has to be, maybe he made a promise with God?? Something crazy going on in that head to waste a drive at the beginning of the game for pure stubbornness. We need to take advantage of every opportunity we get in this game.

The good news is the backup Ark. quarterback looked like Drew Brees against Auburn.. Do you think he's really 332 yards/4 touchdowns good? Nahhhh.. JJ should be able to capitalize enough to keep drives going at least.

God this relationship between Miles and JJ is really sickening
True that.
It occurred to me today, the man might be a genius. If we somehow win out with the worst starting QB in the NCAA, it would cement Les' legacy. Kind of like, I can swim the English Channel, and I'll even wear an anchor around my neck to make it challenging.

Miles needs his arse whipped for the collective good of frustrated fans.

Seriously guys its not like he's starting against the patriots.....its Auburn's secondary.

JJ couldn't carry that kid's jock strap and no one has ever mistaken our coaching staff for Bobby Petrino when it comes to offensive genius. Bad comparison. Actually, comparing to JJ to anyone that plays the position in D1 football is doing that other person a disservice.

Miles wont change until something smacks him in the face and it's too late.
When LSU takes away his $3.75 million per year from him he'll change his tune. Hard headed bastard.

So is it safe to say we'll be going 3 and out the 1st drive?

I guess Les has lots of confidence in the D. He has to in order to waste half our drives.

im literally so mad right now i could break something.

I honestly hate this fricker. I don't give a shite what our record is. He is the epitome of stubborn.

[quote]I think it's great news. Both quarterbacks will play to their strengths and Les knows that. Decisions such as this is why Coach Miles is a winner.[/quot
Really?
Really?

Its not the secondary JJ is up against. JJ is up against the stacked box.

wondering if Les isn't superstitious like many sports guys. Maybe les feels starting JJ is His good luck charm
I have long since accepted this as the driving force for Les decisions.
I am in no way surprised that JJ is getting the start - I would have been blow away (and happy) if Lee gets the start. Not gonna happen until JJ gets hurt.
