Stupid is stupid does? I'm guessing has should be how in your reply? So if Jamarcus wins 10 Superbowls with any other team besides the Raiders, hows does that justify 40 million dollars for 7 wins and a #1 pick and his performance as a Raider?
Answer: it doesn't. The Raiders have lost more $ and time over #1 pick Jamarcus Russel OVERALL than any other team has lost with their #1 pick.

quote:I agree with this if only The Saints could afford him. It's obvious that his main problem is his attitude. My guess is he still thinks he's great and will demand huge numbers to sign... will probably go down with the ship. General Managers are business men.... they have just so much tolerance for narcissistic juvenile unmotivated prima donnas.
“maybe a coach-driven team…. maybe a team like Sean Payton and New Orleans”
i think hed be a good backup.
On the other hand, the teams are somewhat to blame by throwing so much guaranteed $$ at these young guys....

You are right. He always led the way to the chow line.

So if he wins 10 superbowls, he's still the biggest bust ever
gotcha
gotcha

in relative dollars, are you certain he cost the raiders more than leaf cost the chargers?
russell has motivational issues... which one of us wouldn't with 30 million in the bank?
ryan leaf remains a drug-abusing low-life today... LT? hall of famer AND piece of shite drug-abusing low-life.
if russell's two greatest crimes are an extremely obnoxious necklace and failing as an NFL quarterback, I can live with this.

Yes...it wasn't just a necklace. It was a frickin' University of Alabama Logo at at a LSU National Championship game. It was a blatant disrespect to the University he attended. He could have easily saved that shite for after the game but his used his opportunity at some national exposure for his own pathetic benefit. Nobody can convince me otherwise. Call me pathetic if you want. I don't really give a shite.

At least Russell has a national championship ring from his days at LSU.
Oh, wait.......
Oh, wait.......

don't tell people this, there is a large number of lsu "fans" who have been waiting for Jamarcus to fail, for whatever reason
the ONLY thing you can convict Jamarcus of is being lazy, he's never been in trouble, he's never been a team cancer, nothing
but these poor, pathetic people make assumptions and actually hope that he not only fails at pro football, but at life too

I've said this before and I'll say it again. I absolutely feel ZERO compassion for this guy...ex LSU QB or not.
After that shite that dude pulled at the MNC with that gaudy BAMA BOY anchor around his neck left me with ZERO respect for this guy. I hope for one he ends up broke working at a Popeye's for the rest of his life.
Completely agree!

The guys main argument is he's the biggest bust ever because if how much he was
payed
so I can assume that if a future #1 pick has similar or less success than Jamarcus, he will automatically become the biggest bust ever, correct?

Read my thread. I did not say hate. I said disrespect. I don't give a shite enough to feel hate. And obviously he won't end up working at a Popeye's. It was just my way of saying I don't really care where he ends up as long as it's not the Saints. Please not the Saints.

I wish JaMarcus the best. Loved him while at LSU, but what he has done since leads me to believe he will be broke and a perpetual story on "outside the lines" from here on out. Hope I am wrong.

JR has world class talent...arm strength and size...but beyond that...he was never going to be Joe Montana...
Everyone saw this day coming... I loved JR...That effortless rope to Bowe for a 35 yard gain was a thing of grace and beauty.
I wish him the best...
And the whole necklace thing...Yeah, it looks bad...real bad on him... do you see Successful NFL QB's carrying themselves this way? Does he look like a leader?
NO! So the BAMA BOY necklace was a reflection of the character inside that Talent...and when character doesn't match talent level, then you have what people consider a bust...or a missed opportunity to capitalize on one's God given abilities...
Financially he won big...but reputation...he has much to make up...otherwise..he will never be respected as a player...and I am not sure it really bothers him...
He has an attitude..(seemingly)..I am rich...I don't care what say..about me as a player...
