Where are all the haters at? Guarantee if he had a subpar game they would be out in full force with their I told you so's that JR will not be a successful NFL QB.

I've been in some debates about whether or not JR was the greatest LSU QB of all-time, but I don't consider myself a Jamarcus hater. In fact, my son had a soccer practice Friday so I recorded the 1st half of the Raiders game so that I could watch JR play. I'm pulling for the guy, but his LSU career is over, and a Hall of Fame NFL career won't change his numbers from LSU (not saying that they are bad or need improving).

some are resentful that JR didnt win LSU a SEC or BCS title. Especially after Bowe and Buster getting drafted in the 1st round. Then they claim that Doucet was 1st round material, so JR got to shoulder all the criticism b/c LSU ONLY went 11-2 and won the Sugar Bowl with supposedly 3 1st round WR's.

I think Buster was a reach getting into the 1st round. All Doucet really was a late 2nd or 3rd round WR. LSU's run game was piss poor in the 2 losses.

Peyton threw 4 INT's losing to Florida. I bet you Tennessee fans dont give Peyton half the flack JR gets for not winning a National Championship.

Rather quiet on the JR hatin' front. Where are all the haters at?

I'm not a JR hater but if you are trolling, did you guys watch the entire first half? I did and for the first quarter it was about as boring as watching paint dry. Then Russell took them on that drive, I think it was the end of the first quarter and start of the second, and he looked like an All Pro. The only spark after that was just before the half the Raider took possession, handed of to McFadden. He ran for about twenty yards, got them in field goal range, and they kicked a Field Goal. The Raider Coach is keeping the play calling very conservative hoping that JR gets the fundamentals down before he opens up the offense. When he opened it up Russell looked as good as any of the young quarterbacks that I have seen play this year.
McFadden has looked very good. If Oakland get some great receivers or if Javon Walker makes a commitment to play rather than retire or stay and draw a big check then JR's job will be easier. The way JR left hung out to dry in the first half, he may decide to retire or be forced into a disabled status. ;)

yes, because offenses are never conservative in the preseason. especially the #1 offenses.

i dont think its being conservative, its that Raider's WRs suck. their best receiver might be the T.E

Did you bother to listen to Kiffen and his response to that question? He has said it more than once. You are correct though, this it is a time for experimentation and not to show opponents what you got.
